    Devinci Troy e-lite

Quick follow-up. My GF picked up a M e-Troy Lite, she ended up with the Lilac color, but the mid-tier GX mechanical build which is pretty sweet! I've ridden it just a bit, enough I have some initial impressions compared to my beefed-up Fuel EX-e with the TQ motor. Bike weights seem...

Other New Trek full power EMTB about to be launched

Cool to see new motor MFGs, but established local dealer support is an absolute must IMO. My partner just picked up a Devinci E-troy lite with the Bosch SX motor. I'm really impressed with this bike- Mullet, great support for the motor, geometry is perfect for us, quiet, sub 44lbs with an alu...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Looks like the profile is different and maybe the length too. Who knows what the future holds!

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

I’d wager it will be back. I did like 3 complete rebuilds on my Fuel when I first got it, creak-hunting, it’s been quiet since. Free-hub, headset, cranks and pedals were the the main offenders on mine.

    Devinci Troy e-lite

Agreed. I'm real curious to see how it compares to my TQ Trek Fuel. I expect it should have more range, since it has a larger battery and a more powerful motor. How would you compare the range to the Fazua/Pivot you had? I ride a bit with a friends who have Fazua motors- Hecklers and relays -...

    Devinci Troy e-lite

Nah, we've only done the parking lot tests. In a week or two, I'll circle back after some rides...

    Devinci Troy e-lite

It appears we may have one in our garage soon ;) Looking at some of the photos, looks to me like the WB placement is forward to clear shock resevoirs.... I am curious about the seat tube/seatpost scenario. For my GF, it looks like the 175mm post on a M frame will work for her. Can't say for...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe - Trying to understand range and altitude possibilities

Don't think so- I haven't seen any degradation in my range. Had the bike since Oct '22 and got the second battery last spring. I just recently got 3800' out of one battery in mixed modes, which was nearly a PR. I frequently run my batteries down to ~%5 and swap batteries every dozen rides or so.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Yup, same here. I just replaced the upper assembly with wolftooth, their headsets are great and the premium upper assembly is only $60. Stays tight much longer and quieter than the stock headset. I really dislike the integrated headset standard though. Still comes loose too frequently. My other...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Years ago in Moab I cased a rock step-down and cracked a Chinese DH carbon rim clear through. Being carbon, the wheel was relatively true. I removed the tire and rim tap and dumped superglue all the way around the crack. Rode the rim for another 6 weeks (until the warranty rim arrived) and had...

    Devinci Troy e-lite

Tims bike shop in Bellingham (old Kona location). They have a large GX build and a M NX build.

    Devinci Troy e-lite

Had a quick parking lot test ride on one of these yesterday. Very nice bike- dialed geometry. I appreciate SLs with enduro geometry, never understood the logic behind manufacturers leaning towards steeper trail geometry for SLs and slacker for the full-powers. The mid-tier parts spec is an...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

We're probably doing double the vert/miles in the same time, compared to what we would without motors. I used to figure yearly fork & shock service on my pedal bikes, but 6 months on eBikes has destroyed some air shocks for me. Rather than service more frequently, I'm just splitting my riding...

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

Volume spacers in the rear shock will help a lot, start with that. That is really all you can do in back, with that shock. For the fork, make sure you're running 1-2 clicks of HSC first, then add spacers as needed. If you have the 9.8, you have adjustable HSC in the front (charger 3 damper)...

    TQ magnet issue ....or not?

I've been using cateye computer magnets, installed in CL discs on several different wheelsets, no problems...I keep a spare in my pack. Weird that you were getting 150% reading- makes me wonder if the magnet was getting picked up twice per revolution

She’s off the bike for another 2 weeks with a bruised psoas muscle from that last crash. Previous crash in the same corner scraped her chin up.

That’s not a recipe for success on the trails we ride. No thanks!

Lighter Riders / Heavier Bikes - Handling Struggles?

That’s super helpful! And oddly she often says she likes how my bikes feel (set up similar but for a +40lbs heavier rider)- yet she never gets anywhere near full travel up front on her bike- possibly because she’s riding rearward, which has lead to the fork being set up soft. May I ask if your...

Lighter Riders / Heavier Bikes - Handling Struggles?

Yeah, this is my thinking exactly. I ride a chromag every winter, because it reminds me to “ride the fork, let the back-end follow“. Steering with the hips goes with that, but I think the weight is discouraging/distracting her. And on the chromag I run the fork very firm. And yes, it’s helpful-...
