TQ magnet issue ....or not?

I recently bought a Lumen 910 and switched over some parts from my hardtail. One of the parts I switched over is the wheelset. The original set had CL discs so I could not put the original magnet on the wheel set I have. Nevertheless I had a magnet lying around from my old turbo levo which I used. You would think a magnet is a magnet....?
What happened is that now it reads my speed about 150% of what it really is! So now it shuts off at 17-18kmh !

I already ordered the original magnet but I wonder what could be the cause and if there is some kind of reset necessary? Anybody experienced something similar?

so when you change wheelset, I am not sure if it is the same size, like your newer emtb is 29x2.3(2326mm tire circumference) but your old tire is 26x1-1/8(1970mm tire circumference), in this exteme case your speed will lock up much faster.

Issue was solved by putting the TQ magnet on. Weird thing though that a different magnet gives a different result, its al about the pulse it gives as far as I know.

I've been using cateye computer magnets, installed in CL discs on several different wheelsets, no problems...I keep a spare in my pack.

Weird that you were getting 150% reading- makes me wonder if the magnet was getting picked up twice per revolution
