Thank you for the detailed response. I'm 80kg with equipment. 72 psi give me 23-25% sag. I did the lower legs service and reinstalled and relubricated the air spring.
With my old bike with Lyrik I have 1 token, and I usually add 3 clicks to compression when I ride trails with big jumps.
So I...
Is someone knows what that "emtb" sticker on Zeb fork means? Is there specific damping tunning?
The reason I ask is that I found that the fork is very harsh, and even when I removed two tokens, I still cannot bottom out. Compression is fully opened, sag 23-25%. My old Merida eone-sixty with...
I think I found another clunking peace in my Rail! I removed it today and it seems there's one clunk less in the Rail clunking symphony :)
It sits loose and clunks when I just touch it.
After putting a few stripes of foam as @Dave_B did, and a shim between the top bracket and plate, to shorten the distance between brackets, the battery feels still. Also, I put a tire insert to my rear wheel, which made the rear end softer.
I don't have that feeling that the bike is falling...
No, my fork is 160 from the stock. I dropped the stem by one 10mm spacer and it felt better. Unfortunately, the rain started and after one loop I returned home. So I had 3 runs with 29, then 2 with 27.5, and one with 27.5 and lower stem.
Anyway, I'm not going to give mullet up, will continue to...
Have tested the mullet today in my local bikepark. Was surprised with the results. I didn't find any positives from the rear 27.5 wheel. Despite the high position with 27.5 I felt that my weight is too back so I struggled to load the front wheel in the berms. Braking bumps are much better with...
I did it today: put one 1.5mm washer between the top bracket and the plate. So far so good, the battery is no longer moving inside. Still not happy with the result, still rattling and clucking inside, will try to add some foam this weekend.
Interestingly that ebike-mtb.com noticed this is in their preview:
Seems like Trek is aware of that

I don't like this rattling noise either. Moreover, I feel that the battery moves inside on a big rock and jumps. I know that feeling because I had a loose battery fitting on my old Merida (which is way quieter than the rail).
There is a difference in battery level when I put the bike upside...
I hoped that Bosch release the remote update and they did. But the mini remote is incompatible with the Rail system.
You don't have to get rid of the knockblock to set up a shorter stem, Bontrager has knockblock 35mm stems, and also there is a knockblock lockring.
Interestingly, the new Fuel Ex has the same reach for L and a huge gap between M and L reaches. Seems the long reach is not related to the requirement to fit a big battery.
