I have used both motors. The biggest difference is between trail mode on the Brose and emtb on the Bosch.......and they are the modes most likely used the most offroad. Both can be tuned using the MC or Flow apps but in general emtb on the Bosch needs a higher cadence to produce similar motor...
What battery is the Kiox saying is overheating? Main battery or LED Remote battery? Your current power down issues look more likely to be related to the latter.
Sorry, I was reading your post rather than the title and that infers your Grail has the Speed motor!!
I currently own 3 e-bikes. A Trek Rail 9.7 with Bosch CX, a Canyon Grail:ON with Speed motor, and recently grabbed the new Precede:ON for cruising to Trader Joes.
I can see no reference to the...
If it is the 5ON it has the Active Line motor...50nm
If it is the 6 or 7ON is has the Performance Line Motor................if it is Bosch Smart System it is 75nm/340 %support
if it is...
The Giant warranty (for example) is for defects of material or workmanship...
the bike has to be assembled by and serviced by a Giant dealer and not be modified from original spec
.....seems like a few hoops to climb through for a successful warranty claim!!
Obviously the warranty does not...
The Bosch Smart System also uses a similar system. The controller has a rechargeable battery that is charged by the main battery when the bike is switched on. The rub is that if the battery in the controller ( for a Specialized the TCU is the controller) goes flat it cannot switch the bike on...
Great....I have not tried that yet, but I have used Komoot on my phone before when riding in a strange to me area. ( I used it in the Brecons/S Wales and Peak District/UK) . I used blutooth mini ear phones and just relied on the voice commands.....................and it was very good even on...
if you are referring to pivot bearings they usually have spacers/seal protectors visible between the bearing and frame. Dirt on those, if left, will work its way between the spacer and bearing seal. Bearing seals are only a comfort fit against the outer bearing shell....not hermetically...
I have used carbon components extensively for windsurfing. The best masts and booms are 100% carbon and high end boards are either all carbon or a mix of carbon and other composite layers like australian pine or bamboo. There is a very good reason for the use of carbon in each of those...
I only ever use WD40 as a penetrating oil and do not use it for anything bike related. Yes it a mix of lubricating oils but also contains degreasers and water displacers so is not the kind of lubricant that will adhere to metal surfaces. I would not use it near any electrical connection...
I do that after brushing them each time I clean the bike......because I store my bikes in the house I have to do at least a basic bike clean after every ride!
I would check out some reviews on the 3 bikes you mention. I love the looks of the Cube Action Team but have to say the ride reviews I have seen are underwhelming...............that is not to knock the bike and probably would only apply to more experienced/discerning riders with high...
well prevention is better than cure.............use good quality bearings in the first place ( check ABEC rating), dont blast with a hose or even worse a pressure washer, no bearing seal will withstand that............ensure seals on hubs/freehub are clean/greased and have not hardened or shrunk...
recheck it then...sounds like it is spinning on the dampr rod which it can only do if it slips down.........both rebound knobs a re held in place by the allen screw so maybe the allen screw is not on the flat or is not done up tight enough. Sounds like you may have to remove the lower legs and...
hsr knob has a hex centre so no real way not to fit properly. The damper rod has a flat side which is where the securing allen screw fits.............maybe you did not line that up?
check you have not lost the washer out of the low speed rebound knob..............and I assume you installed new crush washers on both legs when bolting them up.
Another hack!!
Find/buy a spacer that has a diameter that will fit snugly ...............superglue/araldite JB weld it to the bearing outer race and leave for while to set. Or just use a section of bolt cut to a size that will span the diameter and glue it. Then bash both out from the other...
