Goddamnit! Historically a slight third party connection to Haibike then! [emoji23]
That, and that they look alike to me is what settled in my mind as a connection. I understand now that is mostly coincidental.
Ok, can we agree at least that there have been several connections to Haibike ? Rob’s emtb podcast also featured an interview with a bike designer at Haibike that also designed Husqvarna just last year. I understand they have parted ways though.
Nope? Doesn’t the Puello family own the Winora group which owns Haibike ? And now the Puello family have licensed the Husqvarna brand too although in a separate entity together with KTM.
At least I know for a fact that the Haibike Design Center designed Husqvarna bikes as well.
They’re made by Haibike so I would expect the design thinking to be on par with their other bikes. Have not done any direct geometry comparisons though.
I’m 193cm and have ordered an Instinct BC C90 PP in XL. Can’t get any size above that of course, but it’s a bit disconcerting how small you guys think the bikes are....
I mean I deliberately got a bike with a shorter chainstay than my Levo, but hope it doesn’t feel insanely tight.
Just as an a-side: My motor that was replaced never actually stopped working. The TCU display and app just warned me 4 times that something wasn’t right in the motor and that I should take it to my local dealer. I rode the bike until the day the new motor had arrived at my dealer. Rode with the...
.... also I loved that my coming Instinct BC Powerplay was identical geometry wise to the non-electric version. Today it seems they dropped the Instinct BC and consolidated into a new Altitude with more travel and 29” wheels ..... will probably be a new Powerplay next ... damn...
I really want these. But are they flexible and not a hinderance when pedalling hard?
I guess these with a zip is an alternative but no side protection ... FLEXI KNEE PADS TRAIL ZIP
I had a replcement in july and the dealer told me it would take a day or two extra because Spesh had just decided to exchange all the motors in stock for new ones from Brose. So I got the improved June 2020 motor and I bet you get one too on a 2021 bike you haven’t received yet.
Don’t the Fox Enduro D30s also slide on over your foot?
I was wondering about that; are the Race Face Flanks too much for trail usage ? Technical with some drops.
In lieu of a separate manufacturer forum for RM, I’ll ask in this thread.
I’ve grown fond of the rider power registration in Strava from my Levo. As I understand it the Powerplay/Ebikemotion app doesn’t transfer that to Strava. It should be able to do it though as the torque sensor registers it...
I have a 2020 Levo Comp with a motor replaced with the 2021 version 600 km ago this summer, with latest firmware. No issues since then (although walk-mode needs a firmware fix I’m sure is coming).
I was thinking of getting a pair of these Race Face Flank Leg protectors for the same reason. They are the same as the Race Face Ambush Knee protectors only longer. Although it mostly protects the front of the shins. But they are very easy to take on and off...
As I understand it there’s a new version of the IWOC Trio Controller for 2021 as well. Some places list ANT+ as news for 2021 but that’s obviously not accurate. But I have heard the connection thingy in front of the stem is gone.
Thanks for the info on the battery! I too was wondering if the 108Nm peak would suck out battery juice.
I am 6’3” (193cm) and actually *hoping* the BC C90 XL I have ordered *feels* a bit smaller and more agile than my Levo XL (have only tried an Instinct Powerplay a year ago and I felt it did)...
