Tyres are great, they rear Pirelli is a "S" which is supposedly for soft ground and therefore really hard rubber. They hook up really well on the hard ground/rocks that we have around here and seem to last for ages. I got them too because they were cheap. This is my second one as I ended up...
Got my tickets and accom all sorted and can't wait especially after watching Wyns preview, the beer garden under the huge feature is where you'll find us. 🤣😬😵😵💫
Sounds like a job that is better done yourself. Hardest thing I found was getting the rim tape on evenly, but after that, as long as you have either a compressor or one of the floor pump that are made to release a large volume of air in one go it's a relative easy job to do. Have a look at some...
In real life, I've found that the sealant lasts much longer than this graph shows, maybe something to do with 'Selling more product' I think, or is that just my old cynical self
Tubeless all the way, last 2 ride, through really rocky terrain, I've had 2 non-flats. This is where when I get home and I'm give the steed the 'once over' I've noticed a small sticky patch, covered in dirt etc, that is the sealant on the outside of the tyre where it has plug a puncture. I've...
Just put a set of Miranda 155mm cranks on my '22 Sam 6.9, so pretty sure it's the same as yours with a bosch gen 4 motor. I measured it all up and on the Miranda website the talk about Q factor which is the distance the crank is bent outwards, see diagram
Mine was Q8 FB, cranks are fantastic and...
I had to do this last night as changing to 155mm cranks. The drive side crank kept coming loose so that side just wiggled off but I couldn't get the left side off even after removing the nut and tapping with a soft blow mallet. In the end I put the new right side crank on and used a 3/8" socket...
Thanks for the thoughts Mike, will definitely do some more research with mates and on line before taking the plunge. I'm pretty happy with the overall performance of the shock, just looking for a bit more small hit compliance.
Got a 2022 Sam2 6.9 with a Fox Van Performance Coil rear shock. Thinking of going down a progressive spring line and have been doing a bit of research and have come up with the following. Cane Creek 450-550lb x 65mm, looks around right as the standard shock came with a 450lb spring.
Wondering...
Having owned both motors and have quite a few problems with the Shimano I would go Bosch all the way, just my humble opinion. And yes, NO SERVICE OR SPARE PARTS are available for the Shimano.
Here's a fantastic diagram and explanation from Miranda showing their crank arms. And suddenly it all becomes clear...
Can now order once I have measured/specced up my existing cranks. Thanks all for your imputs.
Have posted this elsewhere and over 100 people have looked at it but no reply. Just started looking at Miranda cranks as a replacement for standard cranks that are starting to keep coming loose and there 2 options in the 155mm length that I want to go, they both say that the are compatible with...
Got a creak down in the bottom bracket and it really felt like a pedal on the way out. Checked the pedal and sure enough there was a fair bit of lateral play in it. Tried nipping it up but to no avail, creak still there. Bit the bullet and bought new pedals only to find the creak still there...
