Definitely do some off road riding before making any changes, but it could be grips that are too small in diameter or bars that are too low (or both). The fact lowering your seat helped suggests the second may be the culprit. I changed my Levo bars to 38mm rise with a degree more backsweep...
Wheels on my year old Comp have been surprisingly good. I'm an average speed rider downhill and not a big jumper, but at 125kg (275lb) I've broken plenty of spokes and bent some rims on previous bikes. I run CushCore on both wheels, with a Blck Dmnd Eliminator on the rear, only had one flat in...
I've had a 19 Comp for almost a year and so far have had a noisy motor, a faulty charger and a stuck dropper (all replaced) and worn out drive belt (after 2500kms). Everything has been replaced quickly under warranty, and it would still be far and away the best fun I've ever had in thirty years...
POC VPD System Lite Knee Pads - PIT BITS - 2019 Crankworx Whistler Bikes and Tech - Mountain Biking Pictures - Vital MTB
The POC VPD Lite range looks good, I'm getting the knee pads soon to replace my current POC Air ones (bit too bulky)
One factor you can control is the depth of discharge - using up 80% or more of the capacity every ride will reduce the capacity a lot quicker than staying in the top two thirds - so to maximise battery life either ride less distance :(, use less assistance :( or just get bigger battery like I'm...
GPS is fine if you can get the cops to actually do anything about it, but w hy not just make the bikes not worth stealing? If they had the option of only operating when a paired bluetooth device (phone, watch) is in range they wouldn't be much fum to ride away on and would have far less resale...
When I was buying a year ago, the decision for me came down to these criteria;
Frame - sizing, geometry, wheel size (29 preferred)
Motor - torque, tunability, preferred a full size chain ring
Battery - removable without taking motor out, upgradable to higher capacity
Back-up - from both dealer...
I'd go for 1 or 2, depending on how much battery you really need. if you're light and riding rolling hills then 500wh would be good for 2-3 hours, but if you're heavy like me (275lbs) and climbing 2-3000 ft per ride, a 700wh would be worth the extra. I've got the 19 Comp and will be getting a...
I find lots of saddles too flat along the top with nothing to stop me feeling like I'm slipping off the back on steep climbs (which I can now ride on an ebike). The Ergon mentioned above does have rear ramp for this purpose or you could go a more traditional shape like the Fabric Scoop Radius...
A deciding factor could be your size - the Levo has a higher torque motor and the larger capacity battery (if you're talking a 2020 model) both of which become more important the heavier you are. I chose the Levo last year over a Trek Powerfly LT and a Focus Jam, mainly for the 29er wheels, the...
I chose the Levo for the extra torque to help carry my 125kg/275lb, the option of a 700wh battery and the ability to customize all the assist levels. I have had some warranty issues, but all have been sorted out immediately by my LBS.
Just changed to an 2.6 Eliminator Blck Dmnd on the rear - only been out for a couple of rides but rolls well and absolutely no squirm in corners at 25psi and 125kg rider - Cushcore helping out a well.
I have the same bike and size. Initial setting with two tokens was way too hard with hardly any give, so they were both taken out and the pressure lowered. I'm 125kg and run the Revelations at 110psi - sag sits around 40%. Nice and plush, no bottoming - general trail and bike park riding.
