    Rear Grip

Yes tried both, it’s slightly better with a coil but still nothing like the Whyte. Might try a downhill spec tyre or swap my carbon wheels out.

    Tyre sealant

You’ll probably get a million different recommendations but for what it’s worth I use orange sealant. I bought the small 4oz bottle with injector, enough for one tyre then I refill it from a big bottle. Hardly any mess either as you can pump in through the valve hole.

    Rear Grip

That’s what I thought the problem was till I rode my Whyte😂

    Rear Grip

I’ve always had problems with the rear locking up very easily on my Trek Rail, I put it down to my lack of skill but having ridden a Whyte E160RS ive realised it’s not me😀 On the Whyte it hardly locks the rear and it’s as though I’ve had a massive skill increase😀 I’ve swapped the same wheel and...

    Newish-bie...... Now bikeless. *** UPDATE ***

I would be a bit wary of buying a Shimano powered bike second hand as I don’t think the motors are repairable out of warranty by the usual companies.

    Bank Transfer Scam

As I’ve had a bike up sale lately I’ve been aware of a new scam doing the rounds, quite a few people around my area have been caught out. I had about 8 people trying it on with me, easy enough to spot. They ask no questions about the bike or maybe one questions and want to come buy it...

    Levo Gen 3 So Specialized,...

Nice👍 I’ve had a few over the years. Great to ride but always a frustrating issue which they never seem to bother fixing😀

    Levo Gen 3 So Specialized,...

Was😀 They dropped a chunk off the 790 duke just as I had advertised my 6 month old one for sale.

    E160 rsx water bottle

You‘ve saved me some cash, I was going to buy one of those. They are very small too so no idea what will fit.

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Just to add i really like the assegai, unreal grip but the front keep sliding on fast, steep off camber turns. It is probably my lack of skill causing it but I have never had the problem with a Mary. It’s a testament to the assegai that I’ve somehow managed not to crash when it’s slid though👍😀

    I prefer the mm👍

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

If swapping out a 2.5 Assegai for a Magic Mary, would you go 2.4 or 2.6?

Rail (750Wh) Rail 9.8XT first ride review

I was on the verge on swapping to fox 38’s till I fitted a Luftkapp and skf seals.

For Sale (BIKE) 2020 Trek Rail 9.8 Large: £3600

I’d never even notice it to be honest😀 If I get time I’ll pop down to the lbs and get them to remove it.

For Sale (BIKE) 2020 Trek Rail 9.8 Large: £3600

That’s just a arbitrary service reminder that shops can set. Nothing is serviceable on the motor so it’s a waste of time. Obviously if anyone was bothered I can have it removed. I think it’s pretty obvious it’s well maintained 👍
