A stick got caught in the derailleur, it jammed and spun into the seat stay.
That’s what I told Trek but wonder if I had just said the derailleur snapped and spun, would they have warrantied it.
If you stretch your budget a bit Blueflow wheels are excellent, very strong with a lifetime warranty. The owner is a really nice guy to deal with too. They really make a difference to how the bike rides too.
I’m nothing to do with them, just happy with a set I bought👍
My Levo died a couple of times in the middle of nowhere forcing me to peddle and push it back with my knackered knees.
I couldn’t trust it after that and managed to get a full refund as it wasn’t fit for purpose.
Real shame as I loved the bike.
Mine did exactly the same but Trek wouldn’t warranty it. The damage wasn’t as bad as your so I just rode it and it was fine.
Chainring ended up eating the chainstay anyway😀
I have a carbon Rail 625 with carbon wheels, never weighed it but it is very light. I ride with a large variety of different bikes and there isn’t any close to being as light.
Also that Mondraker but I think that’s about 13 grand😱
That definitely sounds possible👍 It’s early days with getting to know the bike so I’ll try a few things including your suggestions👍
I did notice when I got home that I’d used all the fork travel so maybe that was it too, it maybe ran out of travel and slid. It had also been raining when we set...
Had a decent ride yesterday which loads of mixed terrain.
Very, very impressed with the bike, it seems to do everything really well. On very steep techy stuff both ends seem glued to the floor, the same downhills on my Trek have me struggling to slow down due to lack of grip, I always assumed...
Aah forgot to update sorry.
It turned out when the shop did my handover of the bike, they insisted on demonstrating how to take the battery out. One of them lifted the front end a bit and the other was on the floor taking the battery out.
Turned out he hadn’t clipped the battery back in...
Thanks Mike, your cover definitely looks to fit better. I’m not sure it’s linked but on the downhill where my bike died I heard a bit of a bang and then noticed that gap where the cover meets the frame. It may have been like before though but I would have thought I might have noticed it as the...
