    NJN's Meta Power Race

My Meta Power Essential came with the cheapest SRAM PC1110 chain. I thought the bike will 'explode' since it's not ebike specific but it turned out to be great. After a troublefree 1000km, I bought another one and alternating them in every ~1000km. @3600km neither one reached the 0.75% limit so...

    Neuron On screen

I see... I would ask Shimano.

    Neuron On screen

I used contact ‘Shimano Ebike’ on Facebook they are very responsive to messages and you might get more useful info from them. The E7000 display supports Bluetooth but you have to press the button on the bottom of the screen for ~3 sec to bring up the menu and pair it with your phone.

    Answered Shimano I-spec question

No problem with that, I did the same. :) Only thing is that you need this piece under the clamp when you remove the shifter to fill the gap. Reducer

    Answered Shimano I-spec question

You cannot adjust the shifter and brake lever angle independently on the I-Spec II clamp, it's fixed. You can just move the shifter sideways and the adjustment range is same as the I-Spec B.

Battery sleeve/cover for external e8010 battery?

Yes, it completely wraps around it as there is enough space for the 3mm neoprene between the frame and the battery.

    Meta Power and workstands

You afraid to clamp your seat post because of all that weight but not afraid to sit on the saddle? :) I clamp all my bikes - including my Meta Prower (without battery) - by the seat post for many years and I'm yet to have any problems...

Battery sleeve/cover for external e8010 battery?

This is enough for four battery covers, I split it with my friend. Even if you don't do any sawing just wrap it and tie it with velcro it works. 3mm neoprene

Battery sleeve/cover for external e8010 battery?

I made one from 3mm neoprene, makes a big difference in range especially on longer rides. Without it, the last two bars were gone in no time but having the cover it's closer to normal.

Shimano steps E8000 vs Bosch Performance CX range

The snake battery is a 3rd party battery. The tablet version of the e-tube app has diagnostic function - battery health etc. - but it will not work with the snake only works with Shimano.

Very Disappointed with my 2019 Specialized Levo

Probably most of the testing was done in labs not in 'real world'... it's much cheaper.

I'd get the 2018 Race Fox for $4999 and spend the price difference on some awesome biking trips. :)

    Meta Power vs Merida 900e

I guess you meant the horizontal vs vertical shock mount. By itself, it doesn't have an effect on the suspension performance you can see manufacturers using it regardless of other aspects of the linkage design. Specialized has the horst link with horizontal shock mount, Canyon just switched to...

I didn't know that I was only referring to the European prices where the Meta Power is cheaper than the Merida.

    New wheels for my 800e...??

    Personally, I prefer 2,6 over 2,8 and I found the 35mm perfect with 2,6.

    Official Merida eOne-Sixty thread

The Merida eONE-Sixty was available one year earlier than the Meta Power and it had a heavily discounted introduction price. Now, the maxed out 2019 Meta Power is 1000€ cheaper than the 900e - which is still a good value.

Since you were talking about the Merida which is 27,5 only I assumed that you are not interested in 29. But yes, the Meta 29 has a Fox model.

    Meta Power vs Merida 900e

Go with the Meta and be done with it. The new Levo looks good but it's overhyped and expensive. The new integrated battery sucks if you want/need to charge it by removing it. Also, if you want to carry a spare battery for longer rides it is almost impossible while the Shimano external battery is...

    Official Merida eOne-Sixty thread

You cannot go wrong with the Meta that's for sure... their geometry is almost identical they are both running Shimano E8000 with external batteries. The only thing is that the Meta 27 is currently not available Fox suspension it's full Rock Shox/SRAM while the 900e is Fox/Shimano. Personally, I...

    Official Merida eOne-Sixty thread

I had a test ride on the Merida and I bought a Meta Power. They are very similar and both ride great, I think it's a coin toss between them. The reason I went with the Meta was the price and availability - I could order the Meta online from home and the closest Merida dealer is 200km from where...
