"YT is planning to release a 700 Wh battery, which will also fit into DECOY. As soon as it becomes available, the bigger battery is said to be offered to all existing DECOY owners at a discounted price."
First Ride Review: YT DECOY – the new Specialized Levo Killer? | E-MOUNTAINBIKE Magazine
If you compare what you get for the money the Levo looks like a joke... But the ebike market is still on the rise so I don't think any ebike will 'kill' any other ebike.
I have no experience with those but the axle shouldn’t bend after 100km regardless of the bike. Many ebikes are coming with cheap Shimano hubs and they last longer than that one.
My go to hubs are Hope and DT350 for many years and - apart from the factory installed cheap sh*t bearings in the...
My personal experience and opinion is the same as Gary’s. I need a wheel set which is appropriate for the total weight and riding style regardless of the bike type.
I’m swapping wheel sets between my bikes - regular and ebike - and none of them are ‘ebike specific’. The most used set on my ebike...
You don’t have to overthink it. I’m using a Lidl workstand (just like Sam Pilgrim) for years and it holds my ebike by the seatpost without any issues. Why would it be risky? If it can support my 85kg sitting on it then the 22kg bike will not damage it... but I usually remove the battery so it’s...
You can stretch it out to 0,75 no problems. The chain checking tools are very ‘conservative’ in my experience as most don’t factor in the roller wear and makes you change the chain too early. It’s a good business for bike shops though...
I’m using the cheapest 10€ SRAM PC1110 and get 2000km out of it before it reaches 0,75% stretch. It’s only 114 links so if it’s not enough you could get a 120 links PC1130 for 15€.
I was skeptical at first about the cheap ‘non ebike specific’ chains but they worked out great. I highly doubt...
I absolutely don't care what others think or say when I'm riding my ebike and I found it to be a perfect solution... I don't owe an explanation to anybody.
From 34T to 36T is ~6% difference. At the same cadence, your speed will be 6% faster in every gear - 40kph vs 42.4kph as an example. I went the other way and replaced my 34 with a 32T.
So far I used two 10€ SRAM PC1110 chains - 2000km each. They are 114 links but luckily that's the exact length I need on my Meta otherwise, I would step up to PC1130 which is 120 links but cost a whopping 15€. :) Personally, I see no point of spending more on chains...
