This morning I carefully wiped the speed sensor disk but the warning was still present so the bike has gone back to the (mortified) dealer. His first thoughts are that it is a software issue and I left the bike with him to try and find a solution.
He is going to take my friend’s Flyon back too...
Strangely enough, my emtb gave up on me today!
Fortunately I was only about 5 miles from the car but it was pretty remote (Scottish Highland hill track, 2000ft, snow and no mobile signal). Although it is a brilliant bike when working properly it is seriously hard work to pedal without assistance.
A friend and I used, and abused, our Haibike hardsevens for 4 years with no problems whatsoever.
A few months ago we took delivery of Flyon Alltrail 6.0 bikes. Almost immediately my bike was out of action for 6 weeks because of a fault in the control panel and waiting for a replacement.
My...
Thanks. He does not have the app, and has not adjusted anything since the bike was changing support modes perfectly. Yesterday was the first time the problem occurred.
I have an ST on my Haibike hardseven and I find it does make a fair improvement. You do need the correct adaptor for your weight. I was not impressed until I changed my adaptor for the correct one.
My brother has a little used 2017 Specalised Levo 29. He and I went out for a run yesterday and his bike would not change out of eco mode. Made for an easy day for me but not so much fun for him!
When he pressed the mode button the lights changed to different settings but it made no difference...
Thanks. My dealer is excellent and I will be seeing them shortly. A minor issue with a bike that does exactly what I wanted; climb steep hills effortlessly while carrying a load of kit!
Hello AJR
What version of the Flyon software do you have? Mine is 2.83.
I ask because I have noticed a glitch sometimes in power delivery when changing down a gear on a hill and then having to pedal hard for several revolutions before any assistance kicks in. If this is not just confined to my...
No real update on my Flyon Alltrail 6.0 because it has been out of action for 6 weeks. My excellent bike shop were making some adjustments for me when they noticed a loose connection to the control panel. They could have soldered the wire but thought I should have a replacement part for such a...
iPhone not android but have both OS and ViewRanger on my phone. I always end up using ViewRanger because of the much better (in my opinion) route planning, route statistics and recording options. Not noticed any difference in the maps.
I bought my first emtb (Haibike Hardseven) 4 years ago after a short trial run around an Aviemore car park. And it exceeded all my expectations.
My current bike (Haibike Alltrail 6.0 Flyon) I bought without a trial because there were none to try! So far, which is not very, I am delighted with it.
Thanks Kiwi. Just been trying positions to carry my bike and my friend's bike (another Alltrail 6.0) on the Thule XT. We found one position that will hold both bikes well. Easy to fit too.
All we need now is some better weather....
My Honda 1000w is, and I have not found anything (within load) that is not happy being powered by it. Iphones, bike battery and even an old laptop that will not work with an earlier cheap generator.
I have the 1kw Honda suitcase generator – bought because it was the smallest and quietest generator I could find to carry on my boat. It is an excellent bit of kit but still weighs 13kg (without fuel) and it is not quiet when delivering any power!
Fuel cells delivering the power you need make...
I’m in my mid 60s and long past caring what other people think of me:):)
But when I am out on my emtb all I get are questions about cost and range. Nothing critical at all.
My fishing friend, (age 71) who has bought the same bike, and I were very clear to our excellent dealer that our absolute priority was ease of climbing long steep hills with a heavily loaded bike. Hence the preference for the 50t gear cassette. The fork travel benefits are beyond my limited...
The dealer demonstrated removing the battery but I have not tried. Fiddly rather than difficult I would say. I was comparing it with the few seconds it takes to remove the hardseven battery.
I discounted the Adventr model because I use my bike almost exclusively off-road and on some really rough...
