Only eco mode on Specialised Levo

My brother has a little used 2017 Specalised Levo 29. He and I went out for a run yesterday and his bike would not change out of eco mode. Made for an easy day for me but not so much fun for him!
When he pressed the mode button the lights changed to different settings but it made no difference to the support available. The battery was showing fully charged.
Any suggestions as to what might be wrong? The bike shop is 40 miles away.

Thanks. He does not have the app, and has not adjusted anything since the bike was changing support modes perfectly. Yesterday was the first time the problem occurred.

Ive seen a 2019 Kenevo reset itself to the same power % for all 3 modes in mission control. Quick change and it was sorted.

Maybe this resetting has something to do with leaving the bike without connected battery for longer periods of time ...

My 2020 changed as well all on its own. Factory reset?
