    Missing Bolt

I have lost a bolt that fixes the calliper post mount to seat stay on my Whyte E160RSX. I assume bolt diameter and thread for post mounts are the same regardless of the post mount.......only the length may be different? So can anyone tell me what size to get and suggest a source please. ( the...

    Strive:ON problems

For anyone not familiar with the Bosch Rail as pictured here, the difference between the Rail system and alternatives is that the main battery connection at the top and the capture slot for the latch are both on the steel rail.......and the battery is held captive on the rail with the slots on...

    Strive:ON problems

As I have said. before I think there is too much focus on the latch when the issue is actually battery fit. It can be seen from some of the reports above that cutting out occurs yet the latch is not broken........but with continued use the latch eventually breaks. I agree with @Mario Antony...

Signa Sports with Liquidity issues .... (CRC/Wiggle/Bikester/Probike/Nukeproof/Vitus)

It makes you wonder how many bike brands have similar problems. So many 2022 bikes still at anything up to 30% discount is bound to make it difficult selling 2023 bikes at full price......so they will probably also have to be discounted.

    Bosch - Kiox300 helpful note

Yes ( as a bove). Kiox 300 merely acts as a slave screen for the Led Remote. Whyte bikes were all supplied just with the LED Remote. If you have a Kiox 300 fitted, the cable from the motor goes on either terminal on the Kiox300 and another cable then connects the Kiox300 to the Led Remote. To...

why such low pressures in the Zeb's?

The same applies to Fox 38s and it may just be that both forks are designed for enduro and the pro riders are probably running those forks with a lot more air pressure and compression. They ride fast and hard enough for the fork to be working in mid stroke but most of us would find those...

    Strive:ON problems

The broken latch is a long running saga now. To repeat some of my comments from earlier in the thread for the benefit of later purchasers I own a 2022 (2023 model) Whyte E160RSX that uses the same battery latch. I have 750 miles on that bike with no issues of cutting out or damage to the latch...

Levo Gen 2 Cranks and Pedals Change

Self extracting cranks have a built in extraction system which pulls the crank off the splined spindle as you unscrew the 8mm hex. If the crank is not self extracting the 8mm bolt merely holds the crank on the spindle and after it is unscrewed you then use a puller to pull the crank off. If you...

    Impact liner shorts

I wear Under Armour compression shorts under Leatt armoured shorts with chamois. UA kit is anti bacterial and wicking .making it far more hygienic next to the skin. A chamois direct on your bum is a recipe for infection!!

HELP! Something is not right when putting load on the smaller cog!

....maybe...but on both the old and new cassettes??? Other potential causes include b tension, derailleur clutch and chain length any of which if wrong would give a weak chain wrap on the smallest cog.

HELP! Something is not right when putting load on the smaller cog!

It seems unlikely to be a freehub issue if the problem is only in the highest gear (nb. Smallest cog is the highest gear!). It also seems unlikely a lbs would fit a new chain and cassette without checking the limit screws settings and b gap. So what does that leave? What is left is incorrect...

Levo Gen 2 Cranks and Pedals Change

Re pedals...correct providing you are viewing direction from the outside of the pedal. Both cranks are normal thread.....anti clockwise to undo ...if self extracting that will remove the crank.....if not self extracting you will have to remove the bolts and then use a puller.

    Geometry experts please!

Although they are generically called flat pedals some are in fact concave ..e.g DMR and Spank. I prefer that shape.

Not sure this DT Swiss hub should be doing this 40 miles in.

The reason for using the red grease is that it has a stronger bond to the metal surfaces than a normal multi purpose grease. It can...and should...be applied very sparingly. I apply it with a tiny artist brush. The small pot or tube DTSwiss sell is expensive but will last for years of servicing...

    Geometry experts please!

Age is no reason to allow leg pain to stop you riding better! Past injury may be a different issue though. Rider mass dominates a bike...even a 25kg emtb given that most riders 3 times that mass or more. You need to be able to move your weight forward and back and side to side.....and you can...

    Geometry experts please!

In addition to making your head tube angle much too slack, going mullet will also shift the weight balance of your bike back. So as per the advice from the guys above you need to make your head angle steeper and make saddle and bars changes to move your centre of mass forward. I would also...

Levo Gen 3 Levo: Whistling or Squeaking Noise?

First see if the sound is there rotating the rear wheel in a work stand. You can at least then eliminate the tyre if the noise is still there. Next repeat that but with the brake pads removed. If still there look to see if the wheel is making contact with anything...chain stay/ mudguard / speed...

Comment by 'Mikerb' in article 'The Sram Eagle Powertrain motor and new battery tech!'

Despite the size of Brose compared to bike or bike component brands it lacks any brand image, routes to market or expertise in the bike market so not a wise or likely move to stretch their brand in the bike market. Spesh have achieved their market leading position in the EMTB market through...

Comment by 'Mikerb' in article 'The Sram Eagle Powertrain motor and new battery tech!'

I wonder if SRAM have been too long in the development of this? It is understandable that a company that sells cassettes, chain, derailleurs etc should extend that range with their own motor ( or at least their own software version of the Brose motor) and integration but meanwhile the sort of...

    Orbea warranty issue

I think the MT400 uses cup and cone rather than cartridge bearings?..........in which case the hub axle is adjusted by cone lock nuts. Whilst I would have expected the LBS to have checked ( maybe not) it would be worth you at least checking that the hub axle is properly adjusted in terms of...
