Most of the more critical bearing surfaces on our bikes are sealed cartridge bearings and the only ones that are likely to have to deal with heat are those in the hubs and freehub. So unless you are repacking a cartridge hub bearing what grease you use elsewhere is not critical although a...
Do the 2 bolts ( one of which you showed was virtualy completely unscrewed) hold the battery connector into the black block housing that guides the battery into position to make the connection? If so, of course the actual connector would move and not be held at the correct height....at least on...
on a gravity oriented bike I am really not interested in how the bike fits sat on the saddle..........in fact I am not bothered a bout that on either of my existing bikes even for trail riding. I find it less important on an EMTB. Interesting that @S1mmo is very similar body shape/size to me and...
No doubt the Strive is a very capable bike but I wonder if part of the reason Rob liked it so much is its rather unusual sizing. Rob usually rides xl sizing and watching his video the bike looks small......and riding one size smaller bike downhill usually makes everything feel more controlled...
Do you know what the rest of the wire routing is? I assume it goes into the downtube to the main battery plug.........which I assume is at the bottom of the battery compartment? If that is the case you should be able to run a new wire by pulling one through with ( the remains) of the broken wire.
I use the Mudhugger front mounted back to front on the back....slightly cut down. Still with me? In the winter I fit the Mudhugger rear (the ugly one!) over the top of that......using re-useable zip ties, so easy to fit and remove before any ride depending on the conditions.
Ps note there are...
.........??? you can adjust both free s troke and bite point................note that you have to do both in turn, to get the brakes where you want them, and also note that since the levers are the same for left and right hand side the bite adjust wheel is in the opposie direction on one lever...
The main aim with the chainline is for the chain to be in a straight line between the chainring and the middle of the cassette......that assumes the chain gives enough clearance to the frame/rear tyre. Whatever offset has been used by Specialized on your bike should achieve both...
If I read your post correctly you failed to clear a hole on a trail at speed .....presumably nose planting the bike which resulted in a cracked headtube...............and Specialized have declined to accept the damage as being within their warranty.
Assuming all of the above is correct I...
Assuming the main problem is the battery latch, I reckon it is a manufacturing batch issue rather than a problem per se with the latch design. I have the same latch on my Whyte E160 RSX which I bought July 22. It has covered over 700 miles and I have had no issues with the...
I dont want to trash your scientific experiment...BUT....rolling resistance is going to be very dependant on trail surface conditions. A very knobbly tyre will not penetrate the surface so much less rubber in contact with the ground. The tyre rubber compound will also determine how much those...
With RSCs you get a number of enhancements over the others in the Code range. The lever pivot runs on a sealed bearing, piston has greater fluid volume, reservoir has greater fluid volume and the calliper pistons are different material. The swinglink ( "S") is not exclusive to RSC but the...
I think in general on both shocks and forks, a longer stroke gives the potential for a more plush upper stroke........i.e less LSC and faster rebound. I say potential because with a shock so much depends on the kinematics of the rear triangle of any particular bike............less critical with...
....yes and my Whyte E180 RS and E160 RSX.
Trek uses their own brand speed sensor rather than a Bosch one.............maybe Focus also use a proprietry speed sensor?
Never had a problem with Jamendo using their free download/streaming selection.
There is lots of confusion re copyright and " Royalty free". Royalty free does not mean it is not subject to copyright and you can use such music if you buy a licence ....either per track or a monthly/annual fee...
