Like the thought behind this, as I don't need/want full boost. The SL concept is great, but by the time you put a decent set of forks on it, wheels, tyres, brakes etc it's not much lighter than a normal eeb. I can forgive that though, because it's still light in those terms - what I can't...
You need to be careful with the Storia on the Rail, as it runs 'very' close to the downtube on full bottom out in stock stroke length - that's on a large frame, so it wouldn't fit on anything smaller. The V3 has a bit more clearance due to the re-orientation of the adjusters, but you absolutely...
It’s the EMTB specific crown they use for the Lyrik/Yari. If you take the fork off it just looks like a weird, massive step where the steerer tube is pressed in.
If RS make an E specific Zeb (not sure they do?)it is most likely to be OEM only, so actually buying one as a punter will be almost...
So, got a bit carried away/unlucky and clouted my NDS crank arm into a large rock mid corner & have bent the arm, now in need of a replacement.
It comes with some cheap SRAM crap - looking at replacements, it seems i'm a bit limited to basically Hope as a decent alternative. Anyone running Hope...
Mine basically lives in Tour. In fact, for ease of use, I could ditch the entire controller & display & leave it alone, using an app to tell me battery life.
The only time I go for EMTB is laziness on a dirty steep climb up a fire road to another trail. I don't find it benefits on actual trails...
Does anyone know where or it something similar to the below is available to buy?
I rarely use the controller, and don't like it stuck on the bars, so would make more sense to place it next to the stem, similar to the Cube Kiox & other mounts.
But, cant seem to find anything on Google - anyone...
I haven't mapped the leverage ratio out, to be honest its a non issue for me anyway as the 11-6 has a hydraulic bottom out. The curve to that point is pretty progressive & works well with a coil anyway, so I see no reason why the extra bit of travel does anything weird.
It rides fine, just a...
I'm currently switching between a 170mm Ohlins RFX M2 & Lyrik Ultimate, which have an almost identical a2c measurement. Trek are usually a bit slacker standard than they advertise, so when measuring, it wasn't really a surprise to see my bike has a 63.8 degree HA now. The Zeb is definitely a...
Oakley Airbrake.
Tried most of the cheap options over the years but the Airbrake is by far the most comfortable, lenses are great and super easy to change.
Not cheap, mind.
For those interested. A Push 11-6 SS fits. Mine is 230x65mm & it ‘just’ has enough seatstay brace clearance against the back of the seat tube. I have put a 1mm spacer in it just to ensure if Indont fully bottom out on a hard flat landing & have a contact.
I think it equates to approx 166mm rear...
Yes, have ridden both the FF Levo and the SL & own a Rail. I guess that says it all.
I appreciate my opinion may ruffle a few feathers with the Levo fans but for me the geometry is dated, to say the least.
The rail IMO does everything better.
You also don’t need it on the L as well. I have over 1cm of clearance with an Ohlins fork.
Ive removed it, as it’s pointless, rather than just running a normal stem as I was. Hope top cap, normal spacers & OneUp stem so I can run the tool in it.
RRP is by far the best I have used. Also added bonus if you run Fox / Ohlins, it's bolt on too, so no zip ties needed.
Personally, found those ones up there /\ essentially useless.
This is true, one persons light, is another persons tank.
I'm not used to anything really sub 30lbs, because I come from a gravity biased riding world, so light doesn't last when riding & racing!
I've never ridden a really heavy e-bike, spent some time on a Levo SL - of which the concept is great, but the geometry & weedy components are sub optimal if you like riding with a DH bias.
Friends on SL's, which they have coil'd them & put a 36/Lyrik on & it's only a kilo lighter than my Rail...
