60mm - 156mm
62.5mm - 163mm
65mm - 169mm
Most metric shocks start life as 205x65mm & travel is reduced either internally or externally with travel reducing spacers. I'm not sure many 65mm decent shocks with a piggyback will fit due to downtube interference towards the end of the stroke. The TTX...
Nope, the Rail is reasonably progressive (certainly in the zone for working with a coil). How much sag are you running? Maybe i'm slightly different as my shock has a hydraulic bottom out.
Is this the coil or air RS SD? AFAIK, normal RS piggyback shocks don't fit as the piggyback is too big &...
Mine is the same. When i swapped my brakes I tried to re route the brake down the other wide, but with the cats cradle of wiring I couldn't get the motor back to it's mount points. I don't know if it's because there is less space that side, or just a PITA to do. I gave up in the end and just...
The lakeside trails are the easier ones, but there is some tough stuff at Mallards. I wouldn't really call any stuff there 'blue grade' though - you can't really consider gradings on 'off piste' trails at all - just have to go & find out for yourself.
The easier stuff at Dowies/Shutcastle is...
Can confirm the EXT Storia does fit, but needs the shorter piggyback option. (45mm rather than 55mm).
Bike was running 230x60 for a bit more rear travel, had to put a spacer in, so it's now 230x59 to ensure it doesn't hit on hard bottom out.
Bontrager stem is the only option.
Or just run it without. I had another Trek with a KB, a half decent crash means you will break it anyway & the fork still hits the rubber DT protector. As long as that's there, don't sweat it. I never replaced the broken bit on mine, crashed a bunch more times...
Interesting, thats miles out on the TF calculator.
I have a 450 on my other bike, i'm about 85kg kitted so will try that to start with. Reluctant to buy anything yet as i'm not even sure the EXT Storia will clear the downtube on full compression.
The TTX 22M 16 series is the more 'traditional' looking one with a normal piggyback, against the above. Just advise which you want/prefer, the performance is identical between them.
I have an EXT Storia coming for mine as i've sold my TTX, on a large frame. The only issue the piggyback is quite...
If it's the likes of V12 (which pretty much every one is) then it's an unsecured personal loan. Thus, it's not like car finance where you are liable, as its not linked to the item (other than a means to recognise the reason for buying).
So you have no idea - as there is nothing to 'link' it to...
Quite a few, as per usual for me & bikes it seems. I ended up with a 9.7 as it’s all I can get from the shop I race for. Essentially I’ll end up with just the frame. Planned build starting Tuesday is:
9.7 frame.
Ohlins TTX Coil
Ohlins RXF36 M2 fork

As someone who has over the years used most brands of carbon wheels, and broken every single one of them, I would say no, they arn't worth it, in my opinion.
I have a few sets of good DT Swiss based wheels (240 Hubs, 481/511 rims, XM1501's etc) all of which have substantially outlasted every...
