Hi, need to replace my aging kangoo, want to go full electric or hybrid, but there is next to nothing in the market in that shape of car. ID buzz is the top contender, mostly because I have seen a bunch of them seriously discounted second hand. I have a small EV car so I am already happy with...
Just to add, I'm not particularly bothered by brake rubbing, especially as I like to run my brakes with very short lever throws, and I tend to warp my discs quite fast.
However, on the same bike as OP, Giant reign with Zeb, I had code Rs and now maguras, both with galfer purple pads. The noise...
All the last announced systems have roughly 220Wh/kg pack densities, which would put the pack at 4kg. Spesh usually pride themselves on being ahead of the competition (at launch), but I find it hard to believe they would do much better than that unless the bike is coming out in a year using some...
They should give or at least loan you a different battery to test or even keep riding a few weeks until giant figure it out. My local shop is small enough, but carries 2-3 different giant batteries to help out customers.
That's fair, I have never ridden a fazua, and the only one I have seen in the wild seems to have lasted long. But there are some serious horror stories on this forum.
But my issues go beyond the reliability. Why are YT charging twice the price for the SN when it will have so much less power and...
I'm on my third set of 150mm cranks since buying the bike ~18 months ago. I dont seem to have bashed the 32t chainring on the reign, but on one of my previous bikes, a mk1 jeffsy that was also dangerously low, I once snapped the chainring clean off from the spider, so those impacts can happen...
I run 11speed 10-42 out back on my reign, so changed to a 32 tooth.
I almost never use the 10 tooth cog, the only scenario would be pedalling down a paved road.
I use 11speed to save 300g over 12speed and save several hundred euros on replacing parts.
I also think 32tooth is an advantage on...
Wow 3.6kg for the 800Wh and 4.6kg for the 1060Wh, that's up there with the best right? I think DJI said 3.7kg for their 800Wh.
Wonder if they would release a ~500Wh around 2.5kg. Think it would be doable to have the saturn running around 24kg for lunch rides or racing with the 500, then 26kg...
Where are the YT SL rumours coming from? Since the DJI announcement, I feel like most sub 80nm motors are going to be a hard sell.
Personally I would bet on an updated frame and battery, but sticking to an EP801. The new Rise is clearly showing that is a valid design, reliability to be...
One of the wettest springs and early summers in recent memory for France, worst of all: all the rain falls in massive storms that wreck all the trails.
Sick race though
The batteries they are proposing with the system are the same energy density as ones in 2 year old bikes, which definitely defeats the point of the 200-300g saving on the motor.
Hopefully they will be compatible with third party battery packs
There has been a lot of talk of a Bosch motor upgrade, wouldn't expect too many bikes announced on the 4th gen motor...
They have their work cut out to do better than the DJI specs, although I imagine they will match them on weight and power.
Seen on embn, moustache are developing an MGU based bike, could be good as they were a very good value brand for a while. I thought they were having financial issues however, seems like a bit of a risk to buy french bikes right now (thinking of lapierre)
Yes, quite excited for the software also. I recently changed from a GoPro to a DJI action 4, the image quality is pretty similar, the software blows gopro way out the window: less lag, more responsive touch, phone app that actually connects to the camera!
On the podcast Doddy was saying they...
A lot of opinions, not too many facts.
The rotwild RX1000 is a more trail focused MGU bike, quoting from Ebike-mtb "Tipping the scales at 24.7 kg in size L, it’s slightly heavier than the average 23.9 kg weight of our full-power test field" that is with a 960Wh battery.
I am a turbo all the...
There is some info out there on the new stumpy, looks like spesh are going to waste everyone's time with proprietary suspension again, not like that failed the last 3 times they tried... Overall the stumpy looks nice, but a bit worried they have too many engineers and brand managers trying to...
Looks very promising, you could easily match the orbea rise weight (600wh batteries) yet have a way punchier motor, and then have an 800wh version sitting around 21kg.
Will be interesting to see efficiency tests, being optimistic, DJI will have been really focused on power/efficiency at very...
