That freaks out my missus. She also has a bit of a problem throwing her leg over the bike to get on it. So the first (additional) purchase was a dropper seat post. Recommended!
Stick a hub motor kit onto your existing non-E MTB - assuming you, like most of us around these parts, have at least one of them hanging around unloved in the back of your garage.
The advantage is that you can always "change it back" if you ever feel the need for busted lungs... and they are...
Agreed. I think Cube is probably the same as Focus, too: if you have motor or battery problems you get directed straight to Bosch. So there is no great advantage buying Cube over the Stilus.
Hassles with frames are pretty rare (except one notable exception!) and everything else is pure...
My wife chose the Focus Thron² EQP.
With the discounts we negotiated (and I guess your 3k is £) that should be around your budget. She loves the fact that I get covered in mud and she doesn't. Plus she has panniers because she hates a backpack.
And your challenge this week, @Zimmerframe , should you wish to accept the mission, is to beat this week's super climber!
(Snowboard and ski lift will be acceptable :ROFLMAO: - no doubt Specialized have one on the drawing board in lightweight, low battery powered form :ROFLMAO:)
Yup. My non-EMTB came with that set up. Great for collecting dog shit on the bottle. Even though I had one of those bottles with a lid, I still didn't fancy drinking from it...
Yes, it was the first charge for that particular powertube. I haven't actually tried with this particular battery again because it's a 10 minute walk to the garage and a pig of a hill to ride the bike up if the battery doesn't switch on. Sounds like it may be a "first time" thing, though...
Yup. Decided Bosch were bullshitting me: I got the chance to test this with a different powertube using the same charger and bike. Doesn't make any difference which way round I disconnect the power.
That leads me to believe that there may be a problem with my powertube. As it looks like I may...
I used this stuff when I had to store my tandem in a dank, dusty cave for a couple of years. I removed the dust sheets and the tandem was sparkling like the day it went in there.
However, a word of caution: I originally bought this stuff as an after-wash water disperser for the drive train when...
It should be written on the wheel rim. Cube are a German company. I can't imagine that they would send out their bikes without the rims having the required ETRTO sizing on them. They wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
You should have some other numbers on that rim. Something like 32-622 (for a 29" wheel with a 32mm inside bead) or 32-584 for a 27 rim. (Can't remember is that's the right one for 27.5 rims, but it's the width that's important for you).
Here's a useful chart - just make sure you look at the...
I used to be a really big fan of that - and recommended it everyone I knew who got saddle sores. However, the last tub of the stuff I got was milk rather than cream. So thin you can't even get it on your fingers to apply. I tried to put up a comment (bought on Amazon ISTR) and the comment was...
