Ah yes that is a good philosophy until you try to get up one day and you try and try to move but nothing . I used to like the race king and renegade type tires because i needed any help i could get going up hill, but now with the cheater i can run the monster truck tires and adjust power output...
i put the bike in the stand which raises the rear wheel then clean chain spinning forward obviously with motor off, sticking allen key in ring with motor on lol
i have code rsc on my levo and g2 ultimates on the sl and i like g2 better. You might be able to pull off the switch without bleeding but i dont think so. Anyway i tried disco brakes copper free pads and better than stock ----> Copper-Free
i didn't have the extension issue but out of the box my bike was stupidly harsh, i took out all but one spacer and wound back counter clockwise both compression and rebound settings to fully open and it was better
i bought a set for my rigid mtb a few years ago and they have taken some abuse and only needed a new spoke and one trueing session. At the time the hub selection was nowhere near what it is now , i went with hopes but now there are some pretty high end options, i made yours with dt 54 tooth cuz...
i'm telling you it works, i took a chance and ordered up 2 from overseas. The sram link on the shimano chain also SEEMED to work but as cyclopath said the actual shimano chain might be slightly narrower
order up new xo chain off net
lay out old chain next to new one and break at same length with chain tool/multi tool (the one in the stem is a pita to get to)
degrease new chain
install paying attention to little arrows for direction on link , apply wax
on my sl that doesn't generate tons of torque the xt shifter is really quick but you have to be smooth, shift before a hill to keep rpm up and not bog down. What's nice about the xt mech is that you can adjust clutch tension so it's less klunky
only 760 width
DEITY HIGHSIDE 760 HANDLEBAR /// 80mm RISE
810 but can be cut down if need be for brake lines etc
ProTaper Aluminum Handlebar, 3" Rise, 31.8mm Bar Clamp, 810mm Width, Black
another thing to try before spending on suspension is going to a 2.6 a tire front and maybe rear. The short chain stays make it nervous and the bigger tire seems to relax it a bit and definitely gives better roll over. The ff does seem a bit more comfortable at higher speed.
remember there is no free lunch, if you want cardio and muscle to get stronger you have to put in work. These e bike are easy to develop bad habits because it is so easy to get used to higher assist level , but otoh bike skills go up regardless. What works sometimes for me is low assist for 45...
I think it took me 6 months between deciding to get an emtb and actually figuring out which one. I went for a levo after they announced the 700 w battery, and of course it was an early one and the motor blew after 2k km. I test rode a Pivot with the shimano motor and yes it was klunky on off the...
