From my own personal point of view ..that's great news as in the near 30 years of mtb'ing I've yet to actually sell a bike .
I've moved plenty on to family members and worthy kids ..but I didn't start riding these machines with trading them in mind .
Great write up Wayne ..not much more to add except to thank my Doctor ( gp) for suggesting the route ..otherwise we most probably would never have ridden it ..but its one that will definitely be ridden again .
Of course I'm going to be adding some pics..sorry for any duplications but the riders...

First ride out for a couple of weeks (yesterday)after an otb damaged the "rotator cuff" in my shoulder ..this following a cortisone injection on Tuesday which hasn't fully had a chance to kick in ..so did a "local" ride with very little technicality to ease back into things ..namely The Lakeside...
I loved the fact that you admitted that you were scared ..faced up to your fear & conquered it ..well done that took big balls !
Looking at that terrain..I'm guessing the camera levelled things out a great deal and it was a whole lot steeper than it looked 😅 😳.
The rocks looked a lot grippier...
After @The EMF got in touch on Monday evening to say that he had fixed his bike a ride for today was quickly agreed upon ..starting from Barrowburn in The Cheviot Hills .
As scenic as it is on a sunny day ..today was not going to be a day for taking in the views as visibility was restricted...
