I appreciate all the effort and help. It's a cracking bike that I have zero problems with and has helped me ride sections and places that I would have avoided previously. It really is a cracker of a bike. The latch problem once sorted will make this bike even better!

Maybe so but I'd say for the relatively small cost it's worth a go. Better to be pro-active about the situation you're in. I'll be using the spacer and the zip ties together for peace of mind

Has anyone else seen this fix for the battery latch (it's on the EMTB Facebook page): Log into Facebook I've ordered one. Should be sent out on Saturday. For the relatively small cost it'd be a worthwhile option to try in the interim

I tend to agree. The (750) battery in my Large frame is rock solid both side to side and up and down. There is no discernible movement at all. I have done the Zip Tie bodge in a Y shape across the battery to hold it 'up' in the frame and connection port. So far I've had only one possible...

I know how soft and pliable Moto-Foam is and don't think it'll add any support. It's an open cell foam and compresses to almost no volume at all.

There’s three left available in black of the current batch.

They come ready backed with a strip of 3M VHB tape. Just clean the frame well (I use isopropyl alcohol to get the surface clean for a nice strong bond).

The Shit Flap fits all frame sizes. As far as I know it’s only the front triangle that differs between frame sizes
