I read a post on the FaceBook group with a picture of a Canyon online chat. It said that any new bikes will be already fitted with the updated and redesigned latch
I've had a follow up email from a chap at Canyon saying that it's the updated latch hat has been dispatched to me. Fingers crossed. Once this is sorted I'll be so chuffed. It's been the unfortunate achilles heal of what is a brilliant and super capable bike
This isn’t mine. It was a picture posted on the Facebook group by the Service and Warranty manger for Canyon in the UK.
I’ve just logged a warranty email with Canyon requesting a new latch unit to be sent to me.
I enquired about this bag directly with Canyon and they said it was the long bracket that was correct for the Strive:ON. But, the reason I didn't go for it was the poor feedback on the quality of the product. In the end I went for a Peaty's Tool Wrap and I'm very, very pleased with it. Well made...
I don't really know why you continually say that Canyon don't even acknowledge the problem? Many people have contacted them about the issue and have been assured that they are close to resolving the issue with a new part/parts. I contacted them about it and they sent me a replacement latch and...
I've seen lots of people ask the question but not seen any solid news or information on a US release. Are other models available in the States? Seems strange if they are and this one isn't?
Has anyone found out any solid information as to the compatibility of the Kiox 300 on our Strive:ON? I was hoping that it's be a simple addition to the bike but it looks like it needs the addition of a different remote control too. Anyone know for sure what's needed?
Modified a SicoMTB rear fender to fit on my Strive:ON. Fits well with lots of clearance. Should help a little to keep some of the slop and mud off my back.
I can't imagine it'll be cheap as Cascade Components don't make cheap products. But if Canyon and Bosch take an age it'll be a worthwhile purchase to fix the achilles heal of an awesome bike
Very happy to see and hear that Cascade Components is looking into a more robust latch. I messaged them on Instagram and they sent this picture. CNC goodness and no plastic in sight! They said it’s very early in development but they will have something coming…
Finally got myself a decent front light setup! I can finally get out on a night ride. Been wanting to do this for a while now. Interested to see if helmet or bike mounting is best. Currently setup below the bars but likely move it to the top as not sure if the clearance is great in the event of...
I managed to get out and test the latch fix kit from Tobias over on the EMTB Facebook page. Seems to have work and has held up after a couple of decent runs out (Rocky mountain terrain with lots of decent hits and a few modest jumps). No cut outs and the latch seems to be in one piece still. For...
I don’t have any pictures but can take some later (currently the bike is covered in Lake District muck). The part makes the latch clip in more securely as it takes up the slack and movement in the latch once it’s clipped shut. It also then and most importantly spreads the weight across the...
I fitted the 'fix' that Tobias over on the EMTB Facebook page has developed. Very easy fix and I can see what the additional 3D printed part offers. Fingers crossed it offers enough of a fix (as well as the Zip ties) until the official Canyon and Bosch remedy is released.
For me the bike is perfect apart from ONE issue...the battery latch/batter disconnect issue. I personally haven't had this problem but lots have. Canyon and Bosch are apparently developing/testing a solution.
Apart from that I have not a single issue with the Strive:ON
