SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Mine only came with the crown race for 1.8 supertapered steerer forks. No biggie. I've got the 1.5 crown race reducer. My battery should arrive tomorrow, so I'll be able to test the bike over the weekend👍🏿

Gottya👍🏿 Well, if the CEF50 can support a 1.8 supertapered steerer fork, might as well build mine to use one😁. It's nice to know that we're beginning to get diy frameset kits which can support newer standards of equipment. Usually, this is reserved for the "well-known" mainstream brands👍🏿

SZZS specific CEF50-main thread (initial builds and troubleshooting related only)

Oh!! Mine came supplied with a zs56/66 headset to support a 1.8 supertapered steerer fork. The upper headset cups is a zs56. The lower is a zs66 with a 1.8 crown race. Interesting🤔

So my build's starting to take shape (I'm thankful the M820 uses the traditional 8 splined isis crank design). And i'm equally happy that Bafang have embraced the disk magnet sensor, compared to the spoke magnet sensor. And cable routing was fairly simple (although, make sure you route the...

    Bafang M600 Service and Repair

Hi @priestc, if you've had the motor for less than 2years, it might be worth attempting to go through the warranty process and getting it serviced. However if it's difficult to go through the warranty process, you'll need to do the following. You'll first need to remove the controller which is...

Better to be safe than sorry. Not to mention, the frame's covered for 2 years. If I were in your shoes, I'd do the same thing👍🏿

Guys, I've been so impressed with this thread, you've all inspired me to get one👍🏿 Gotta be honest, I've not really spent much time on super light/mid assist emtbs. So this will be a treat. Not sure if it's been mentioned before. But I was surprised to find that the main rocker link is also...

Dengfu E55 (Emtb) and E56 (Fat Bike) - New selection of DIY frame

I've shared these exact pics on the E22 frame thread (saves members jumping back and forth between both to see). But here is what the two look like side by side. I'll take better pics once the weather gets better. I've lost count as to everyone who's pm'd me about the differences between the...

    Dengfu E22 Frame Thread

I'll take better pics once the weather gets better. However, here is what the two look like side by side. Both Large frames The E22 in my opinion is still a fantastic bike. And I have no regrets, doubts and have no intention of getting rid of it......EVER!!! The E55 in a lot of ways, has...

    Dengfu E22 Frame Thread

When I built my E22 initially (far be it with angle headset) and 27.5x2.8 tyres and 170mm fork, bb height was 330mm. With 29x2.4 rear and 29x2.5, bb height is around 342mm. I use 165mm cranks. Yes, I do agree that the E22's bb height is low. This can be either a good thing or bad thing depending...

    Bafang M630 Thread

Apologies @Bengy22 for the delay. I'll clarify on the situation on the M630 motor and availability. Ben is correct. Commercially, the M630 wont see world release until late 2024/early 2025. Currently, the system is still being developed. The physical motor has been tested and the results are...

Dengfu E55 (Emtb) and E56 (Fat Bike) - New selection of DIY frame

I've received the same message on the Dengfu Facebook community group. But that's what we're getting. Granted, we've not measured the axle path with a 230x60 shock. However, it is funny that you're quoting the leverage ratio of the Dengfu E22. Which coincides with the very first post I raised...

    BAFANG M420 FIRMWARE UPDATE

Error 21 is speed sensor abnormality on the Bafang system. Out of curiosity, I've looked through the 3 firmware options which I'm aware of concerning the m420 and none of them suggests that they alter the behaviour whereby gearing would influence the speed sensor spoke magnet. I appreciate that...

    Dengfu E10v1 vs E10v2?

Good question. I have performed this hack myself (using the battery from my first E10 for experimental purposes). It has yielded promising results whereby the power loss issue/water ingress issue no longer occurs. As for the lifespan of the battery (or the rate the battery discharging without...
