I'm thankful I've still got these pics😁
Anywho, the lower mount on the left is the oldest version of the battery mount. The one on the right is a newer version.
The exterior dimensions are the same. However, internally where the battery rests has been revised.
The plate which holds the...
V1 frame charging port locations are on top of the motor
V2 frames have the charger port location on the left (none drive side), above the motor on the seat tube. Similar to the E22.
I've been meaning to go into detail about the differences between the v1 and v2 frame differences. So apologies for the delay if you're still looking for information on this topic @Karamba!
Their are more differences however, the 3 main differences are as follows.
1. Onboard charger location...
Apologies Zimms,
I was of the belief that when I converted the images to PDF, it would have left bookmarks concerning each bike statistic per each page.
I'll have another crack at it and re-upload. Failing that, I can always printout, annotate, scan and upload👍🏿
Needed a place to pop the results, following a recent vid I uploaded.
The Dengfu E10v2 with the Bafang M510,
The Levo with the Brose motor &
The E08 with the Shimano EP801.
Each bike did a quick 1.2mile lap,
with 233ft of elevation. Measuring, average speed, top speed, average heart rate &...
@Dado does raise a good point. I'm presuming that a stock CANBus M620 ran with a 48v battery and set to a maximum current of 30amps, would yield the result shown on the Dyno. If the M630 however is powered by a 52v battery and at an equivalent current of 30amps, this 'could' explain the...
Just in case you didn't know, Bafang have unveiled the M630 motor
Thread 'Bafang M630 Thread' Bafang M630 Thread
And yes, it shares the same mounting position as the M620 motor👍🏿
Fresh off the press and unveiled at the 2023 Shanghai Cycle Show
The "M620 Killer!!", kicking out 250NM of peak torque.
Surely, no drivetrain is designed for a motor like this!?
......oh!!!!
Well, I guess it was inevitable that Bafang would capitalise on building another powerful motor.
And...

It's not quite the 'M620 killer'. But I suspect it'll soon replace the M600 on future emtb's who licence bafang motors.
Dengfu and Frey will be using this motor on upcoming frames. Unclear as to other brands.
But it is worth mentioning that...
Just for reference,
BXT look like they'll be coming out with a 150mm travel VPP suspension trail emtb based off one of their regular trail bikes.
Apparently (with the exception of the chainstay length), the geometry through S, M, L & XL will be identical to their regular bikes with the xl...
Figured I'd share images here on this thread concerning the Dengfu E08 which uses the Shimano Steps EP801
Its early days as to whether I would reccomend building an ebike frame from scratch using the Shimano Steps system. Especially if you consider the ease in which full Bafang system kits...
