This question has been asked way too often. So I'm starting this thread to DELIBERATELY challenge brands who feel obliged to only offer complete builds for emtbs, knowing that a vast majority of riders are buying entry level emtbs options within a given model and upgrading them to a...
No, it won't. Although, those brake cut-off sensors look like like they need to be stuck to the levers with adhesive strips.
If you're worried about the two connectors attached to the wire harness/loom, tuck them back inside the frame within the headtube area slightly above the upper battery mount👍🏿
My experience with the M820 and the CEF50 has been different.
I do appreciate that the CEF50 is a versatile trail emtb. But I'm finding that the bike gets used more for power hour sessions or group rides instead of Allmountain excursions which would favour an ebike with a bigger battery.
I...
@BafangGang , No.
As long as you're using 4piston brakes with 200mm rotors front and rear at the very least, you should find that you won't need brake cut-offs for the E22.
In addition, brake cut-offs can hinder you getting the best performance out of the M620 in an Allmountain situation👍🏿
@92se-r , the guys over at Changzou Feildebikes provided me with the entire M820 system.

I was provided the frame separately from a distributor for the CEF50 & CEF52.
From experience, I tend to find that you can reduce the cost for building up a frameset...
Hola, Buena idea👍🏿.
They haven't.
It does feel like legit 75NM of torque in the highest level of assist.
I remember testing the peak output of the M820 and recording the watts via the app.
On average I achieved 530-ish peak watts. But I did see it spike upto 571watts.
Even if friends of mine ride ebikes like...
That remains unclear.
The Darfon battery connector is different compared to the Shimano BT-8035/8036/EN805/EN806.
The power plug for the EP801 which connects the lower battery mount to the motor is also different to the ep8.
It remains unclear whether the lower battery mount supplied (if you...
Yes👍🏿
You should have the mounting plate for the frame to attach the battery.
The only thing I'll add is that you may want to use insolation foam, as the space between the interior of the downtube and the battery is roughly 20mm on all sides. Without the foam, you'll hear a rattle between the...
Hi @boom boom ,
The reason why the controller won't turn on is because you need to calibrate the controller to the motor via the besst tool.
Seb G walks you through the process in his video.
Let me know if you need help sourcing the besst tool and getting an account with Bafang👍🏿
Don't sell yourself short.
Truth be told, I'd recommend not bothering to retrofitting a third party range extender. By the time you've put in the hard work, someone else (like Bafang) would probably release one which would simply plug into the system seamlessly.
Learning to solder is a good...
I've given this some thought.
The issues which I fave is that more and more ebike riders are expressing concern for ebike battery fires.
Even I've had to take this onboard in terms of addressing the safety aspect. Which is why I opted to implement the entire Bafang M820 system. As apose to...
No. The LCE930's headtube Is designed for a traditional 1.5 tapered fork. The headset requirements for that frame are zs56 upper and lower.
Similar to the Dengfu E55.

I'm still awaiting a response from the seller to independently advertise and list the headset. So I'll happily share it once they've done that.
It took roughly 2 weeks to arrive to me in the UK👍🏿
So, new headset arrived today.
I'll do my best to explain each piece to avoid any misinterpretations.
Starting with the headset top cover, you'll note that three of the holes are specific for either a gear outer cable or brake hose (depending on your preference for cable routing and...
