I did a triathlon once in the Kimberly. They had a team in it and their own people handing out refreshments to them as they ran or rode past - beer  :ROFLMAO:

And picking up drinks from a full arms length works my front shoulder muscles, then my biceps as the drink gets closer :)

    E-8000 Chainring Bolt Torque?

I don't know. I have changed mine with that slot tool that holds the nuts while using the right allen / hex key. I do the crossover technique - like when you do up the nuts on a car wheel - opposing sides. I do this a couple of times at what I feel is the same torque. I use as much force as the...

    When birds attack

I think your eyes will work - they have to be recognisable as eyes. The eyes that she drew were really pathetic and a waste of time. Re the zip ties you have used; I'm not sure that they will do anything. Having zip ties (or something else) pointing upwards or toward the direction of attack is...

If I'm not going for a ride, I have a basic exercise regime, but it's for back, chest, triceps, biceps, and core. I figure my legs get enough on the bike, I wan't to keep my upper body in reasonable shape too. Helps when I have to lift the bike over fences etc. I also do a few basic stretches.

    Lower leg protection

I've been wearing compression socks. I was wearing knee pads, but my shins and the inside of my ankles have copped a beating. The socks don't stop it of course, but the damage seems to be less, and it's as though a compression bandage is already applied :ROFLMAO:. I also have big veins which...

Geez, I don't know why people do these things. I don't think it's worth it; they are gutsy determined dudes

    What would you choose?

for me it is the opposite - recommended pressures are way over kill. We're all different, put in what you need, so long as you don't exceed maximum pressures. Any of those recommendations will only ever work for a few - I imagine it's only beginners or occasional riders who don't find what's...

    e180 rs v2 fox float x2

I'm with you on the gearing. Mine is 51 rear 32 front, and I mostly use eco. There's a huge difference riding in a dynamic mode (for me that's trail) you can easily run higher gears. Eco is more akin to non assitance (I have med chosen for eco, so 2nd lowest setting). I use that 51 a few times...

No way I can get a 2.5 DHF front tyre on rim. Anyone done this?

what do you mean by "insert"? With a normal tubeless setup it is easy to install a tube, just a bit messy. I have my pump in an old sock - I used that (the old sock) to get most of the sealant out.

Aussie Gold Hunters - love it

I used to work in a gold mine, an open cut. I used to drill and blast on the surface. We had these washing machines that you'd swear were made by gold panners :ROFLMAO:. They worked like a cement mixer, and they even had lips around the inside, just like a gold pan. I'd wash my overalls and...

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Derby is awesome - and the tracks are still growing. We live just 5 mins drive from a network of tracks here in Hobart. When it's dry I only have to ride on the road (all up hill) 800m to get onto the same network. BC looks awesome too - deeper forest than what we ride in here.
