Soo who's got the Thron?
I ended up deciding to go for the Thron because it was my first mountain bike and i wasn't sure how much i was going to get into MTB. I felt that the slightly less aggressive position (seated more upright) would be a bit more jack-of-all-trades as i can use it for just...
Yep! That's the one! They say its for EMTB because that lip at the back cups your bottom when your climbing, because on an emtb your often sitting more often when climbing compared to normal bike. And apparently that helps you put more energy into your pedals. I just love how comfortable it is...
I highly reccomend the Ergon SM E-Mountain Core Prime.
It's specifically made from E-MTBs.
It's by far the most comfortable saddle i've ever used. Theres a few different models of the SM E-Mountain, make sure you look at the 'Core Prime'.
It's crazy how much a 54t ratchet set costs in Australia.
$148 USD for the 54t ratchet, 2 springs and little tub of grease
I can literally buy nearly 5 complete 24t ratchet kits for the price of one 54t.

Something more relevant to the thread, i am in the process of upgrading my hubs.
I've got DT Swiss H1900 E-MTB specific wheels with 370 hybrid hub (3-pawl).
I recently pre-ordered the new DT Swiss 'Ratchet LN' upgrade kit (specifically, Ratchet LN - Steel Hybrid HG). So basically im converting...
I think what makes Gary the happiest is shitting on other peoples happiness or thoughts/opinions

The FSA 170mm cranks on the Jam2 are sooo long! They hang way past the pedals.. Definitely something to consider downsizing. Lots of companies nowdays switching to smaller crank sizes on ebikes, specialised going 160mm now. I recently downsized for sizing and it feels so much better. Reduced...
Dt Swiss advises not to use more than 24t ratchet with ebike due to the extra forces applied.
They make a special 24t version called 'hybrid' which is reinforced for ebikes (and it's not hollow like the 36/54).
I'm in the process of upgrading my hybrid 1900 spline 3-pawl wheel to ratchet (I've...
