    Reign E bottom bracket height

Thanks man, yeah the more I look at it the more I figure it's not so much the BB drop or height, but the low-slung and forward motor unit. Combined with the expensive plastic bashguard. And not sure it's relevant, but a few years back I went from a Remedy to a Reign and noticed a lot more pedal...

    Reign E bottom bracket height

I'm taking this silence as a "no comment" and think it's enough of a worry to go back to the Rail idea. Frustrating I can't get a test ride in the bush, just the car park :(

    Poll: Brake Lever Placement

My bmx had back brakes only. Did the best skids. My poor Dad was buying tyres fairly frequently :)

    New Trek Rail.....

Any update for us? I’m about to push the button but also eyeing a Reign...! How are the forks? I may do the RCT3 damper upgrade if I get the Rail.

    Reign E bottom bracket height

Can anyone with a Reign E+ comment as to whether the bottom bracket is an issue? Or more importantly the motor underhang? Just off a short test ride and that was the only thing making me hesitate. The motor was super quiet, XT drivetrain sensational (Pro 1), I’m close but don’t want to be...

    Lyric Ultimate opinion and suggestions?

Can’t you just replace the damper cartridge and fork seals with Lyrik RC2 or RCT3? You could also try the Luftkappe air piston kit to improve small bump sensitivity. Do both and you’re still way ahead and have the correct offset.

    Just say no to 29ers

I just said yes to a 29er Trek Rail :p

    DVO suspension

I’ve got DVO Onyx forks and Jade coil shock on my non-E, best suspension I’ve had. There’s just no stiction on the forks at all and they are so plush. Not sure about the Diamond but I’m sure they’re just as good.

    Just say no to 29ers

Good luck with those pedal strikes if you put 27.5 wheels on a 29er....

I'm 185cm. Yeah seems to really depend on many factors I guess! Tough decision...

    Chainstay length

Got a question as I shop for a new bike. I prefer a 27.5 wheel size as the bikes I’ve ridden feel more playful than the 29ers I’ve ridden. However in the eBikes, the ones that tick every other box seem to always be a 29er. Question though, take the Trek Rail 29er, the chainstay is 447mm. The...

My bike fell off my tow bar rack

I always have the clamp direct to the frame. I find if you use any kind of interface to try to reduce scuffing, it will always find a way to work itself loose and that's where you can have issues. For me, best way to reduce scuffing is tape the frame where you want to clamp it. Then just clamp...

    New bike day!

Pics just don’t show how bright the front neon orange is hey! Lovely bike and a front runner for me at the moment. Enjoy!

LBS: Attitudes, Bike Demos and Sales - ugh.

For sure, good advice. I ride a large Reign (I'm 185cm) and the large Reign E I sat on was way too cramped. The bars would hit my knees at like a 25deg turn! So XL would be the only option. This is also why I've had to bypass the Sight VLT which I rode and loved, but was just too small. This...

LBS: Attitudes, Bike Demos and Sales - ugh.

Thanks man, yeah it seems to be the go for my preferences. I think what I'll end up doing is if I go for the Reign, I'll put the deposit down pending test ride. It's the only way to be sure. And being my first E, I'm sure I'd be happy with any of them tbh! I was riding my 2019 Reign today in...

LBS: Attitudes, Bike Demos and Sales - ugh.

I can’t seem to get a ride of the Reign E even in the carpark! I just want an idea of motor characteristics and noise...and you can’t contact Giant either except through the dealers....

Norco Sight VLT2 or Specialized Levo Comp?

Ridden both, the Levo has more torque sure but on my local trails I found the top power mode way too much. The Shimano is fine. I’d be thinking more about if you want a 27 or 29er (I realise the op has bought something now but for anyone else), and for me I’d rather an alloy frame. I loved the...

    Why are 27.5” eMTBs dwindling?

I tried a 29er (analogue) and found it super efficient but boring as heck, so went back to 27.5 bikes without looking back. Way more playful for my liking. Now I’m eBike shopping, all the things with promise are 29ers! I like the Levo which used to be 27, but now 29. The Meridas are 29 front...
