Only for carbon cranks. I contacted them about my wife's H30 and they sent the instructions for installing the cranks backwards. I bought Shimano cranks on my own dime, not going to wait for the e*thirteens to fail and/or Orbea to get their shit together...
This is for Bosch, not Shimano.
Interesting, my numbers are a bit different:
Shimano FC-EM900 165mm w/ preload caps: 427.9g
e*thirteen e*spec 165mm are w/ caps, dust shield, and boots: 490.9g
I've verified my scale is accurate using calibration weights.
Regarding FC-EM900 vs FC-M8150, it...
I suppose what's why they call it "hard anodizing"? I mean all the air shocks are aluminum too. And dropper posts. And forks...you just wanted to say "hard rubbing" didn't you? :)
Sorry, not true. I ordered from Suspension Syndicate (now EXT USA) and they adjusted it for my weight and riding style, and bike. This is fun, right? :cautious:
Anyway, good luck. If you'd like to start a thread debating shock shafts, please do. That's not the point of this thread. I apologize...
Sorry I'll be more clear:
The e-Storia doesn't exist because it has a different shim stack and valving. *Every* EXT shock comes with a custom tuning, it's part of the service when you order it and one reason why they have such a thorough order form.
The e-Storia a different platform. Different...
I wasn't talking about the e-Storia, that's why I said Arma and Storia.
EDIT: just to be clear, the Storia and Arma are supported on the Levo. The e-Storia is not required.
Given the weight of the Arma (and Storia they are fairly light for coil) it's likely aluminum. Hence the much larger diameter too.
At any rate the discussion is moot. EXT has already stated they support the Levo.
I'm 99% sure Ohlins is fine. What makes me hesitant is Specialized used offer Ohlins stuff on clevis bikes, but doesn't anymore. Why did they stop? (there can be many reasons of course)
It would be good to have someone from the company acknowledge it directly. Most all of these companies won't...
The XTR "Race" brakes are not servo-wave. These are the 2-piston ones that come with composite levers. BL-M9100
EDIT: Just for trivia: nothing lower spec than Deore 6000 is servo-wave either. This includes the cheaper Deore 4100, as well as the MT401 brakes that come on the H30.
I'm upgrading the bars and stem on my wife's Orbea Rise H30, and will be switching from 35mm to 31.8mm bars. Hoping someone might have a spare 31.8 clamp to sell, or we could swap clamps. I know the display includes both clamps when purchased at retail so if you bought one and are using 35mm...
The stock brakes on my M-LTD failed on a longish fire road decent. However the stock rotors are 180mm Galfer road bike rotors (I'm not joking, it's literally the road rotor upsized to 180mm). I replaced those with Shimano Freeza rotors and some finned pads and had no further issues. Keep in mind...
They list both weights in the article, 20.5 with, 18.92 without extender.
The M-Team is not a light build, despite the XTR parts. You don't need a 36 on a carbon Rise, nor do you need the reservoir shock, a DPS works great. The wheels are heavy too.
The truth is *most* FF ebikes *are* 25kg+...
It's the compound. Organic pads disintegrate in the wet. Metallics won't even sweat it.
I once tried some ceramic Amazon specials. They were GREAT for the dry. I mean really really good. And they *performed* well in the wet. The problem is they wore down to the backing plate on a single ~16...
