Speak to your LBS, see if they can help another way.
& bear in mind there will always be a better deal somewhere else and a better bike around the corner.
ultimately life is short and summer is now. If a Levo's what you really want roll with it. when you look back in the future you'll be...
As for chainstays, I have 2 clockwork 29ers known for short chainstays, but I'm actually finding it easier to get over the bars on my Levo, despite the longer reach, and I'm wondering if that's because the weight is more centred on the wheelbase.
Lee's observation sounds very plausible to me.
YT chose steep Enduro style trails for the Decoy launch event, which I reckon was significant in Rob rating it much more "fun" than the Levo in his levo vs Decoy comparison video (below).
YT know what they're doing with that choice of location...
Thread resurrections as doing saddle research. The stock saddle was off my Levo within hours. Yowww.
I don't understand the logic that emtb rides mean more sitting down. For a given time I spend proportionally more time climbing steeps (so on the nose of the saddle) and more time descending (so...
@galaga187 there is a thread on the Ergon emtb saddle here Anyone try Ergon's new E- Mtb saddle? - EMTB Forums
if it's the same as the Canyon one - I tried that and found it quite uncomfortable, so I will probably get the regular Ergon saddle.
I also don't see the need for the rear lip...
re saddles - the Canyon and Ergon emtb saddles have raised lips at the rear "for support when you're climbing steeps". I rode the Canyon, I don't find it necessary as when I'm climbing steeps I'm on the saddle nose and pedals.
An old Charge race saddle from my spares bin. It's not the softest saddle but way more comfortable than the stock Phenom, which I found very hard.
I will probably try an Ergon saddle, I like their grips.
After all that I ended up buying a Comp Carbon so am riding rather than spreadsheeting.
I changed the saddle (ow my poor a***e) and grips, that's enough to be up and running.
Picked up my Levo today. All good.
Mission Control asked me for a code for Bluetooth pairing with the bike. I'd read this is on a sticker under the top tube, starting BLE then 6 digits.
There's no such number in my frame's sticker collection. The alternative is to take the T10 Torx from the...
my expectation is the 2020 platform won't be much different to the 2019s and maybe priced higher. if I'm right then I don't expect 2019 prices to crash. (more models may have 700wH battery but will be priced accordingly too).
as I see it your choice is pay the price for a bike you can ride...
Actual weight difference is 750g. Perceived difference is subjective.
If you're out doing epic rides, or you want the bike to do most of the work, you probably need 700wH.
3 hours razzing around your local riding area, with enough effort to come back tired? I find 500wH plenty.
Take this as you will: a riding buddy has a friend who works at Spesh, he was told the Levo platform as we know it will continue at least another 2 years.
by feel.
on my 29er, like an orange not like an apple. (a slightly soft orange).
on my b+ hardtail, softer.
bump up a kerb, you want to feel the tyre give a little but not ping you back.
you can probably go softer than you think, you want the tyre to conform to trail crap not stutter bump...
