£160 to wrap a new bike? Waste of cash or??

scratch it with a rock and have done. get a mate to do it if you can't bear to. then use the £70 to take the Mrs out on a date night, much better return on investment.

do what you want of course, but it's no funnier way to think than getting all precious about a bunch of parts that get thrown down ma hill. peace of mind has never been an issue for me. does the cost + hassle pay back at resale? perhaps but I bet not by much. enjoy your riding all.

    Bikecrush: new Evil Following

they are, though I had my Following 5 years and still ride it a lot so it evens out over time. my kit gets used, none of it is coddled. also I'm 54, 5 more years on a new bike takes me to nearly 60. if I'm lucky enough to be able to afford it I've come to the conclusion I should have what I...

Who’s kept their acoustic bike and why?

When I first had the ebike buzz I was tempted to sell my lung bike but was too lazy. I'm so glad I didn't - there's no avoiding the fact a 50lb ebike is a lump downhill and a 30lb trail bike is way more fun. I've also got fitter and lighter so "need" the assistance less. When I ride solo I...

Careful Out There, Respect the Power

yes - it was so fast it was near instinctive but I have to attempt to try to stop that. there's a great YT channel of people building and testing jumps and features (Seth's Backyard Hacks Seth's Bike Hacks) - as soon as they feel something is wrong they push the bike away and separate from it...

It's my turf - will be nice to see the bikes before ordering. I've no plans, but it makes a YT more likely than it was.

I think my singlespeed days are over though - that might be a but too much to ask of it after all this effort. gears are going back on my hardtail.

yow that's annoying. yeah these decisions have long term consequences. thanks, the surgeon took huge care to have a detailed plan in place and peer reviewed with trauma specialists before executing. who knows how it will work out but I'm in as good a place as possible given what I did. they say...

Careful Out There, Respect the Power

I think a couple of theories why we have no evidence of inter-galactical civilisation are that either we're one of the early ones and there's not been enough time, or they did exist and as you say snuffed themselves out as we're about to. Yeah statistically there should be loads so there must be...

Careful Out There, Respect the Power

I mashed my tibial plateau on Friday riding my Levo - I was washing out on a bend, instinctively put my foot down and the energy of the impact and rotation caused a serious injury - on their severity scale of 1 to 6 it was a ... I was going too fast and it was 100% my fault. I'm not blaming the...
