Cef49 (M560) - 22kg, Cef50 (M820) - 18,5kg, e10, M600 - 25kg. I'm tired of the noise of the M820 and M560 engines. Therefore, I decided to assemble the E82 with the M510 engine. I used to have an M510 v1.0 engine and it was very quiet. Do you think the CEF50 frame weighing 2.7 kg is a good frame? Why can't we make a 2.7 kg frame for the M510 motor?
I’m waiting on a cef50 with M510 mounting plus some sort of flip chip to run mullet retaining the nice geometry! If it was possible to get Shimano ep801 complete packages at a decent price I would just get a CEF52 (Also waiting on selling anything I have in my garage to free up space) (Also considering CEF49 if no new frames crop up) Hybridizer is almost perfect too, depends on which way my mood is once I sell off obstacles!

Only if you use XC tires can you save 1 kg or more. However, I believe a proper 160+ mm enduro bike requires heavy-duty components and quality equipment. If you shave your legs to save watts, then every gram counts.

Hey Neeko, can you update the firmware on the SANN with Besst pro? I’ve been told by K1 I have an early beta FW on my M560 SANN and Hybridizer said I need to ship it back to them for FW updates, which is insane!
Hi Tom,
Yes you can connect Besst with the Sann.
Screenshot_20250215_154604_Video Player.jpg

Although the display doesn't register because it's not a official Bafang display, the motor will. Mine came with the M560, which is can freely update the firmware between 500w - 750w.

Amending parameters remains the same (like M510, M820 etc).

What difficulties are you encountering?

Thanks for the info. I just ordered the Besst from Ali so I should have it to try in a week or so.

How’s the motor noise on your M560? Mine is very high pitched compared to other motors I’ve heard, although after 300km it’s either gotten a bit quieter or I’m now so used it that it’s not really a problem. I’m still envious of my friends silent M600 though. So much that I even considered buying one.

120 day ownership update

Anyone else having issues with the rubber charging port cover on the 2nd gen Sann? It was extremely difficult to get back into place since day one. So much so, I ended up distorting the rubber o-ring that goes inside the port to the point that it no longer worked correctly. The plastic bash guard actually overhung the rubber charging port cover causing me to tuck and bend it under the guard and that was causing the misalignment with the o-ring and port. I contacted Hybridizer and they acknowledged there was an interference issue with the battery/frame/guard that made it difficult to secure the cover. They recommended loosening and readjusting the battery position. That did not work as the battery was already so tight in the downtube that there was no adjustment left. I ended up cutting down the guard around the charging port so it would fit straight on without having to tuck it under the guard and bend it. However, the cover is already so far gone it barely stays on.

At this point, I dread having to charge this bike.

I have a first-generation 720 Wh battery. I have no issues with closing, but I did have a problem with water entering through the charging port, which corroded the Bluetooth module. I recommend contacting Hybridizer; otherwise, you might face water issues in the battery.

The design has definitely been improved on the most recent models with M560. I think Hybridizer should be sending you a replacement cover.

I use an airline on mine after washing to keep it clean and dry.

What would be best suited motor and size for a person 180cm 86kg?
I'm looking for size L with m560 but the m510 isn't bad...

Yeah I'm leaning towards both Sann and Rando (for dailycommuting). Although Cube oneXX is very close...

I contacted hybridizer to see if they had any plans on increasing the travel for the sann. They said they didn't have any plans to offer a LT version or an updated linkage that would add some additional travel.

It would be nice to have a 180mm or 200mm option for people that like to ride freeride and downhill trails, but don't have access to a lift or shuttle.

I used to think I wanted a light ebike for general trail use but have discovered that my pedal bike is just fine for that. I usually only grab the wife's Sann for places that are too steep to get to on a regular bike. The first manufacturer that makes a e-DH bike, especially if it's a high pivot is getting my money.

With M510 or 560? Although the M510 feels powerful enough (I'm 86kg) for me, atractive and also cheaper.

After a few emails I'm gonna hard pass on the 4leaf. Crappy seat tube insertion length, no water bottle mount, questionable kinematics, 1yr warranty and bondo over the welds was enough to put a pin in that option.

Looking at scor 6080

Wow, Bondo over welds? I just glanced and thought it was a carbon frame.
Maybe the Markor then, I was considering one but the Husky HC1 went on discount and has 170/180 travel, good enough for me!
