i’m removing my m820 to fix cable rattle. is there any motor maintenance that i could do whilst the motor is out?
Re-grease if at or near service interval. I did mine only a few 100 km's from new using instructions from here and can not say it changed much but 1) now have piece of mind, 2) know that occasional sounds aren't anything serious and 3) assured it is properly greased.

Nothing from the manu. that I am aware of but every 2,500km seems to be mentioned most. There is at least one very detailed instruction set located here.

I didn't use the finer needle bearing grease, just used the recommended aviation grease - Mobil 28 - on everything. The motor seemed just a bit quieter.

Hi, I have the LCE930 ebike with the Bafang M820 motor.
How can I configure the motor parameters with the Bafang Go+ App, to get the best performance from the motor? Currently I have it like this:

Actually you can set just Global Acceleration and Max power at each PAS level.

Current speed limit does have nothing with speed - it is max RPMs of rotor, leave at 100%.

Startup angle - how quick engaging motor after starting pedalling. 10 Degree is fine.

This motor does not support Assistance level (torque sensor sensitivity, only M510 FC2.0 and M560 is supporting so far).

But check for the motor firmware version. Bafang is sending 43v version with 10A max. You can flash there 13A firmware, which will give you 130W more.

Hi,
thanks.
I don't have a tool to update the firmware, and I don't know how to do it. So the only thing I can do with the APP is change the angle to 10 degrees.
With the App, I understand that it is impossible to change the firmware.

So far have not seen how to update firmware over Go+

Go to controller info menu and check for SW version.

Firmware can be updated also over K1 Flash, check my signature.

On your bike display setting , set to display watt, as you pedal , you can how watt your motor output, try towing a bike behind and set to B on up hill climb. Then u can see your motor Max watt.

Error 30 - no communication or faulty communication on CAN bus between controller and display. Check cable and connectors if plugged properly till the end.
Besst wont solve this issue.

thanks for the reply i purchased the besst tool just to connect everything up and see what works and what dont and for future maintaince. when i plug the display into the tool i get this. the plug that goes into the motor i have made sure its fully inserted. ordered a new cable 1t3H just to see if its that.
am i right in thinking that if the controller is not showing on the besst tool is because eitheir the cable or controller is damaged ?

I have seen ERR30 a few times now, always because of the cable to the display pulling out slightly. I get quite a bit of overgrowth dangling down onto the single tracks and it seems to pull that cable enough to slightly dislodge it.

Yes, Besst is powering up display, so will turn on.

If Besst wont read controller, then faulty cable or controller is gone. (Do you have main battery cabled and turned on? Motor is not powered from Besst.) But I must say, newer seen a brand new controller which was not able to read by Besst yet. They are testing it in a factory and flashing controllers at the end of production line.

thanks for the information. i have the battery connected via the yellow socket and the green plug that goes into the 1T3H lead. that lead then goes to the motor and the display. you mentioned about turning battery on there is no manual switch is it just a case of using the button on the left controller ?
i left it all powered down for a few hours then took another look when i connected it all the display had the battery icon empty and flashing i plugged in the charger the green light flashed for a few minutes then the display showed 100% battery still no controller appearing though so im hoping the replacement cable i have ordered will sort it.
