Can we change this to "how old do you feel?" so it's less depressing having to select a category further down the list than you'd like.

Maybe add 80-90, 90-100 and 100-110 categories so I can then populate the lower first half.

Gen X, had free education, were not ruined by internet and phones in their childhood and 20s, got all the tech and games back when it was good, could buy houses for $150K when they were 30. Really good music, movies and culture growing up. And no one hates them

I am 71 and only got onto a bike after nearly 50 years about 5 years ago after suffering a stroke which affected my eyesight so no more motorcycles or cars. Now on my third emtb a Giant Reign E+1 but now have to curtail the off road fun part of riding due to arthritis in my hip, will be having an injection in ten days so hopefully will get some relief if only for a limited time.

No problem. I'm proud to say I'm a 72-y/o mountainbiker. It's pretty much what keeps me going. But crashes are a bit less desirable at this age, as they take longer to recover from and I don't learn anything anymore (just kidding).

I'd definitely vote for the 100-110 - imagine the cred you'd get .
I used to do triathlons in my 40s and there was a guy who'd do them in his 80s. He won his class every race ( he was the only one ). I was so in awe of him and just wanted to still be finishing when i was in my 80s..... Gave it up a couple of years later, then screwed up a nerve in my right leg so can't run anymore. Can still cycle though

As one gets older you have to scroll further down the list to find your age ....Grief I hope I can still find it when I get old!!
My new Gearbox , Belt drive and electric change help a lot.
Will soon need a "mounting block " but dont ask what for

I guess... but given there are still "regular" bikes that cost 2x what my ebike cost, and you see kids in their later 20's and 30's...

Age is just a number so others can either feel better or worse about themselves. I started mountain biking around 13 years ago as I was hiking one day and thought "why am I walking ALL the way up the mountain, just to walk ALL the way down?" I have been playing hockey for over 30 years so fitness wasnt an issue but as I got older (I am 60), I take less risks. Living near the some of the best places to ride has also been helpful for my progression along with some great riding Bros. My wife (she is 52) also rides the same stuff I do which has been great! I used to crash more when I was learning and taking more risks but since I shattered my heel, I ride slower and wear more armor when necessary. The next poll should be "How Healthy are You?" or "How Much Happier are You Since You Started Riding?"

I feel for folk like us who don't want to lose our physical abilities. It plays on my mind. The good thing is that I appreciate every day of good riding - most rides are good rides.
