But moving to MaxxGrip especially in the wet is gamechanging and much higher grip and confidence than a 2.6” MaxxTerror.
I'm actually quite curious as to how much of a difference there actually is between the compounds for more human riders. My bike came with the maxxterra assegai 2.5" on the front and i can't even once think of a time where i felt there needed to be more grip. I'm replacing it with a 2.6" mainly to get a bit of a difference between the front and the rear.
<cynic>I'm sure at downhill racer speed where ever second counts the difference is noticeable. But for most of us i'm interested if there is a tangible difference beyond the softer compound needing to be replaced more often and making them more money </cynic>
