Update: She's got it!!!! She was only in a little van and it didn't fit. A few of the guys at the warehouse tried to help her get it on the roofrack but it was too heavy for them to secure. So they opened the box and got the bike in the back. Just hoping nothing is missing from the box now when she gets back. According to Google Maps it's a 3 hour drive back

Relief though eh. Wake up tomorrow and not think about DHL!!! Thoughts and pictures would be great when you can.

Pictures don't do it justice. It's a really nice looking bike in the flesh. Ive only had a go down my road just to make sure everything worked before our ride tomorrow.

I will take some pictures and maybe take my GoPro tomorrow on the proper ride.

I haven't run a bike with tubes for a long time. I hope I don't get pinch flats

Good spot. Using yours this weekend @dwr budr ?

Unfortunately I've git work all weekend but Monday I'll be back on it. To be honest I prefer riding in the week, nice and quiet and get to appreciate the scenery more and away from the weekend warriors banging on about how much weight they have saved by swapping out their eyeballs for titanium ones.

Few first observations.

There are no included tubeless valves.

The stem is fine at 60mm the front end wants to pop off the ground anytime you climb something steep. I will be changing the bars to the 820mm Raceface Sixc.

I had a couple of pedal strikes so I may change the cranks to shorter ones soon.

Closer to a normal MTB than any ebike I've ever ridden. Really playful and poppy.

If there wasn't the huge build up to this I would be very very happy with my purchase. I'm sure the pain of the past 5 weeks will soon fade and I will be happy

Looks really good mate. Go far? Use a whole battery?

Are the cranks 165mm? Have you tried a Specialized before? Wondering how the Shimano motor compares.

Went 28km I think. Haven't connected my phone to bike yet to change to MPH. Used a whole battery mostly in boost for the sheer fun.

Yes 165mm are standard. I was in the high BB setting on the bike too.

Haven't tried a specialized. Tried cubes, focus, trek and the Cannondale. This is my favourite out of all of those.

I stick with km on strava etc anyway. Figures look more impressive.

Is it a particularly low bb on this bike then? Good for descending. The XT cranks you've arent cheap mind. Dropper decent?

Ive spoken to Chris. Really helpful. About a 4 hour drive for me as well but better than a 6 week wait.

How did you find Chris very helpful Am guessing ..Am waiting for this new levo update now if it's too expensive I will look at the 2018 model which will no doubt be on sale. What part of the world you living?

Chris is great. Spoken to him quite a few times now trying to decide whether to stick with canyon order or get a Levo. Really knows his stuff. 4 hour drive to the shop for me in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. If the Levo is released before the canyon is shipped it could well be a new Levo. But it'll be a low end model as I can ONLY spend about £4K ish. Bonkers money really.

Yes 4k is alot of money but you have to pay the lot with canyon in my mind if this levo is affordable on 0%finance I will probably throw in 2k and finance the rest. I got a funny feeling the levo will be a completely new bike but far better.

As I haven't ordered anything I can wait suppose it's different situation for you

Pretty sure I can easily cancel before it's shipped. I've read that canyon don't make it easy but consumer rights and all that. Basically I could have a Levo in September or a canyon early October. Not a bad position to be in. I sold a load of bike stuff to get the cash ready. Nearly got it all now.

Leisure lakes bikes in Southport are sound in there. They have a few ebikes about and can sort out demos.

I was down there again today getting a few bits.

I usually travel to Chester they have a specialized specific shop built alongside another LBS I think it's called bike factory ...could be wrong

I found this forum and thread as I was looking to buy a Spectral, now there is no chance, even if the spec is great for the money, 4000+ I will look elsewhere, sorry Canyon one sale lost.
Hope you get your bike today and enjoy it!

I second that

or you could get a 0% purchase credit card for 18-24 months and do the same or pay more off up front or less off.

Cheers @dwr budr . That’s what I’ll likely end up doing. The fuss around the Levo and the longer wait for the Canyon is making it harder. I haven’t read of single complaint though from anyone who has actually got the Canyon. Hassle to get it but worth it then.

Setting aside the delivering bike to customers debacle, the Canyon is a newer generation bike than the Levo - i.e the Levo is now a dated design compared to most top end e-bikes in terms of spec and geometry, still a very good bike with good looks, but no longer at the forefront in comparison to what else you can get.

I would only cancel the canyon if you are willing to wait for the 2019 Levo or whatever new emtb Specialized may bring out, which will deftly be a lot more money, and maybe be a big jump forward

Like everything in life things do and will break ...I don't think the bike is in question but there is an air of caution regarding the customer experience and warrants a definite "what ifs " moment .

There's a huge selection of bikes to choose from and ultimately it's a personal choose but things like customer care is high on my list.

I am not trying to put you off I was keen on the canyon and still think its great value in comparison to others.
Whatever you choose am sure it will be a hoot !
Good luck mate keep us updated
