Latest update: Called Europa to confirm they were coming today as I had took the day off work. The girl I just spoke to said the paperwork isn't correct for the battery and we won't be able to ship it out today.

So I said I will come and collect it and she said well it hasn't actually been scanned into our warehouse...... Waiting on a phone call back when she tracks down the goods

This is beyond a joke :sleep::sleep::sleep:

man you’re not having much luck with that, who would have thought one little bit of paperwork could cause so many issues

Even if this is the best bike in the world I would never ever do it again, I've learned my lesson. Pay the extra few hundred and go to a local bike shop.

I dread to think if there were any warranty issues.
This is what worries me, if I went for a focus jam2 I know the bike shop is only 20 miles away.

So Europa are saying that they have it on their manifest but DHL have decided to deliver via someone else So it never actually reached Europa.

Just spoke to claire at DHL who is now chasing around to find the bike. She says that she thinks its in the UK but doesn't know where. The Greenford tracking status is just a dummy, she said there isn't a warehouse in Greenford anymore and its just used to signal that the item has reached the UK.

She is going back to Canyon and DHL in Koblenz to find out whats happening and will get back to me

Do you know which depot it would be at? Just drive there anyway?

I asked that...

The latest is that its been sent on another tracking number so she doesn't even think its in the UK yet, the new tracking number is still showing Germany. To be honest I genuinely don't believe that they know where it is.

Completely and utterly devastated and stressed and to make things worse I've used a days holiday from work to sit here and stew over it. Currently writing another complaint email to canyon of which none of them have been replied to

Hadn't seen this. Its like the Chuckle Brothers are running the show or something. You should be able to claim for lost time I reckon.

Im dreading this whole thing with mine. Excitement is gone and replaced with dread. Canyon UK just reply with "you'll get an reply if anything changes" every time I ask if its still due on time and if the frame supply issue has been resolved etc.

Ah man. Really think ill end up cancelling and be yet another Levo owner. Could Rob contact the UK manager again?

i think rob ought to get their uk guy on here to reassure people as some poor decisions will end up putting people off purchasing a quality bike off them.
Frame supply issues which have now been resolved - i can buy that.
A slip up with some shipping paperwork - i can understand that (as long as it’s a one off and things out in place so it doesn’t happen again)
RMH’s will be the test, if his doesn’t go smoothly i think a lot of people will give up.

The problem hasn't just been that the paperwork was missing, as everyone makes mistakes.

The problem is that they haven't fixed the issue once they realised it happened and the fact that customer service in the UK is completely limited in what information / input they have on things. It would be better to cut out the middle man, or have the English speaking people in Germany do customer service for the UK.

If this was any of the companies I have worked for this issue would of been resolved within a matter of minutes but I'm now speaking to you 6 and 1/2 weeks after I placed my £4547.98 order on a bike that showed it was in stock and I still haven't received it or been reassured as to when I will receive it. It just completely unacceptable for a company of Canyons size

Don’t let it put you off mine came in 10days like they said and i’m out at cannock chase on it at the min with the biggest smile on my face?
I have a yt jeffsy pro race with the latest fox 36’s plus other trick bits and the old mans e-bike does every thing the yt can do with out any drama’s mega bikes!!!!!!

I think Canyon has a big problem here - this thread has been running since May and most of the posts are frustrated ones - now this isn't a criticism of the bike, which has overwhelmingly positive reviews, but Canyon as a company has covered it self it a shower of sh!t as to how it has handled the role out of the Spectral On.

They have made a big deal about how they waited to bring out an E-MTB so that they could bring a well resolved product to the market rather than rush out a bike, but it seems they spent no time actually looking at how they would get said bike to customers, meaning that the lasting impression is that have rushed the hell out of getting this bike on the market and not payed nearly enough attention to how to do it.

I think it would of been better to of hired a van and driven over one weekend and brought them back if it was possible

DHL have said that bike is shipping from Germany tonight and should be in the UK tomorrow, she said she will try get it out to me tomorrow but she didn't sound confident.

To be honest this is the third time I've heard that the bike is shipping from Germany so I am trying not to get carried away. I would like it before the weekend though

I think an ultimatum would of came out of my conversation with the manager. I think you've been patient enough and if he is reading this thread I for one suggest a spare battery as compensation ?

If you were me would you cancel now? Been told I could have a new Levo around the 18th. My shipping date isn't until 24th earliest.

No back to work tomorrow, I've got someone staying at my house on the possibility of the bike coming tomorrow. I'm not wasting another day sat at home when they didn't sound very confident on the phone.

Personally If I could go back in time I would go to a bike shop and get a Kenevo or Focus Sam2. I would of had multiple weekend trips out with my friends by now which have all been cancelled or I've had to lag behind on my normal bike due to the delay

This whole thread has definetly put me off online ebike buying and I am defo going to use a local shop for local people and if that fails am driving 4 hours to berkshire cycles and speaking to Chris for a good deal or vice versa

I'm hoping seeing and riding the bike will change your mind. Spec is still fantastic for the money. The equivalent Levo or Kenevo is a big drop in spec.
