Exactly that... Some new bikes are not as good as the last model, going off subject a bit but the rr6 (2006) Honda fire blade was and still is the best bike, look at Moto gp a lot of riders are faster on older tech, ultimately if your happy with your bike, ride and enjoy it, never mind what the jones’s got, just keep friendly with ur lbs if it’s brose powered..You don't have to replace regularly "to stay upto date". You only have to replace if you want the "latest". Most recent upgrades are changes to parts which anyone could still "upgrade" if they wanted to. Or be content that the amazing bike you bought it the first place isn't any less amazing 1 day later just because there's an alternative.
