Came across a chap on good old Facebook who said he has fitted eyelet 230x57.5 Rockshox Coil to a medium Rail no issues (stole his photo as well)

He may even be on here???

I don’t know what to believe or who i can trust anymore….. View attachment 151515
That pic doesnt say much. It is when compressed and forced down (to take away flex) you can se if it really fit.

Should be okay to trust the pros at tftuned?

Hey gentlemen, looking for some insight on my rear shock. I have read all 23 pages on this forum and.l have not found a solution.
Current bike:
2020 Trek Rail 7 aluminum 230x57.5

I purchased a fox Float x with hopes it would fit.

Unfortunately the piggyback makes contact with the downtube at full compression.

My question has anyone with this year trek rail had success with any shock? I think through my reading the carbon and aluminum grams fit different.

Thanks in advance

DVO jade x is amazing and you can find them very cheap, the prime is even better but a bit more pricey.

I have a 22 Gen 2 Rail 7. I had the same issue, I originally purchased a DHX (long story) and the reservoir hit the downtube. I replaced it with a DHX2 and its great. Same stroke and eye to eye as stock. No change in travel. I love it. This bike loves tech, absolutely savage in the loamers. Just make sure to account for the weight of the motor and battery when calculating your coil spring weight.
