Thanks mate for the answerI’ve done it on my with the former motor ep800., but…
The extra power is not night and day. Range loss however is day and night. So the only thing you gain by fiddle with the software is knowledge of the above. I would keep it as is. And the 25 speed limit is not a big deal either as the bike pedals like a normal above the limit. Stay away from burly tires and suspension.
I have put my back to RS mode and will upgrade with light wheels in spring to get weight down further . .
Lucky you to get the new EP801 that seems to be quiet.
For the speed any chance to move from european limiti to usa only using stunlocker by phone?I’ve done it on my with the former motor ep800., but…

Are the Roval Control SL (1240 grams) suitable for emtb? Or too Much soft?I guess if you ordered M-team you already in a very light weight wheel territory. The new Orbea wheels seems light. As I’m on M10 2022 I have Alu wheels at 1815 grams there are potential for lighter ones. I’m looking towards Roval Control SL (1240 grams).
Now during winter (Sweden) the Maxxis tires started to disintegrate below 0 degree celsius and the grip was bad on mud, snow and ice. I changed to Specialized Butcher T9 front snd rear. This made a difference of the feeling of the bike to the worse, but grip in the winter conditions was rather good and also nice in the downhill sections. Cycling mostly trail (technical rooty). I will go with Vittoria Barzo and Mezcal when weather gets better.
I would go for at least 28 spokes for emtbEMTB or MTB doesn’t matter. They are rated to a system weight of 125 kg. And for my type of riding I think they will work. I do some small 1 meter jumps/drops, but I don‘t press hard in rough berms or jump at bike parks landing sideways. So I guess it depends on riding style. According to reviews they try them in quite rough trail riding Etc. So for me I think they will do fine.
Control SL have 24 spokes. There is a Control 29 carbon version with 28 spokes at 1450 grams that probably is a bit burlier. But SL have DT swiss 180 ceramic bering Hubs and 54 tooth ratchet. Control have DT swiss 350, with 36 tooth ratchet.
Look through this video. From 8 minutes…I would go for at least 28 spokes for emtb
A good set Could be to have profile 1 with standard configuratio 60nm and profile 2 with the 85 nm. So you can use profile 2 only for short turn with Higher battery consumption. What do you think?I’ve done it on my with the former motor ep800., but…

No chance for now. and probably never do it through bluetooth. For the speed any chance to move from european limiti to usa only using stunlocker by phone?
Thanks mateNo chance for now. and probably never do it through bluetooth.
Think about how you can do it now in EP8 2021 (EP800)
It was possible doing downgrade to a vulnerable firmware.
Shimano patched the problem into newer firmwares.
Now there is no older firmwares avaliables to EP801.
You will need PCE-02 Interface to make this kind of changes.
