Damn been a minute, many thousand problem free miles (bikes showing 12.5k miles but the wheel circumference has been set to min size since drive units day1 so would think it's into the 20k miles) later since the rebuild in October 2022 the 6808DD crank bearing started to collapse whilst out on it yesterday. Nursed it home took it apart today banged in a new bearing and it's good again. First time looking inside since the last rebuild and the PG-75 had kinda 'gone' i.e. little visible white stuff however seems it was still doing a good job, cogs seemed 'oily' and it hadn't burnt like the factory stuff had and all the cogs still seem in good condition. It's a little over a year and 8000 or so more miles since my motor started sounding rough and I subsequently rebuilt it (new bearings and grease). Coming back after a 50 odd mile ride earlier this week it occurred to me it still sounds as sweet as a nut. There was some debate around grease at the time, I used PG-75 (from bearing man) and can only assume it's doing an excellent job.
One dead bearing:
How the grease cogs held up since last rebuild
