Looks good
So far it looks promising.
will I need that en100 transmitter thing to use this with my e8000 motor and e7000 display?
(YT decoy)
I would love to see an app form the Apple Watch that display the data you usually get on the display.
I run both my bikes with no displays (EN-100 Module) as I dont like having one, but from time to time I want to check something out on a ride, and having to pull out my phone and log on is a pain.

the only useful information I would want to access is the range and battery life remaining, which I can do through the E-Tube Ride app from Shimano (app is designed to turn your phone into a display)
E-Tube ride has 5% of ST Ride features. It's useless for me.
I wasn't comparing your app, just saying that in an ideal world I would have an simple apple watch app, at the moment I use the Shimano app for that function when on a ride if needed (it doesn't need the phone display to be on, it can run in the background), I know your app does something completely different and much more information. I was just wondering if its ever on your radar to make such a thing, of if its even possible. I have hear rumours that Shimano is totally overhauling its apps with the launch of the EP8, but I doubt anything as detailed as what you are doing.
bummer as I have an Iphone and a garmin 820, but a galaxy tablet. I will wait and see how this app progresses. I have a few buddies with old android phones. I might try one of those without cellular data as an alternative.I don't know yet when I'm going to start porting this App for iOS or if I'm going to do it at all...
The App has good tracker features and does not require a constantly turned ON display. So you can put your phone in your pocket and record your entire session with all data that Shimano and external sensors provide.
The only problem is that data from the motor can be collected from any STEPS displays (E7000, E6100, EN100) other than the most common E8000. This is outrageously stupid on the part of Shimano.
App doesn't save any data until you press "Record session". Recorded sessions stored in internal database. You can export session into files (GPX,TCX,CSV) at "Statistics"I did not find the data file on my smartphone, where is it located?
There should be no disconnections if your phone is always near the bike. The App can not control this, the system itself is engaged in this. Moreover, after the bike loses connection (if you turn off the bluetooth on the phone), you can no longer connect to it until you turn it off / on again.ok, i found to export the data, thanks
for the disconnection of the "electric bike sensor" do you have an explanation,?
ok, but in one case we have the ANT private protocol and in the other the bluetooth, those are two different channels? so you can't use the smartphone with the garmin at the same time, it's less interesting for me.Only one device can be connected to the bike at same time
Ok. No problem, you can ask refund from Googleok, but in one case we have the ANT private protocol and in the other the bluetooth, those are two different channels? so you can't use the smartphone with the garmin at the same time, it's less interesting for me.
No. Because Shimano does not provide those data. It's possible to calculate it according Assist Level, but it will be not accurate.can ST Ride record watts (human power)
Export to TCX and GPX files is available including HRM,Cadence,Speed data (all parameters that Strava supports)and export this to a tcx or fit file or strava? thx
