Hi, my 2021 banana-coloured Kenevo SL is being transformed into a lemon-coloured Kenevo SL...., always kept in a sufficiently dark garage, next to the 2003 Ducati 999 which is red and has remained so for 21 years, the Ken SL thought it best to start a transformation after the two year Specialied warranty on the paintwork had expired, showed it to the dealer sent the photos to Specialized Italia, the response was: we're sorry but the warranty on the paintwork of our bikes is 2 years. We cannot intervene for this specific case. Good or rather bad I'd say, I understand that they are pit bikes and not catwalk bikes but the duration of the paint job so far without being a painter seems to me very little, maybe defective or they use delicate paints considering that there are cars and bikes that are exposed to the elements and don't change colour in years of exposure. If it was a supermarket bike it might be fine, but at this price level I would have expected a little more careful treatment of the customer.
Take my experience to heart and carefully monitor the colour of Specialized frames for at least the first two years, after which your bike will be faded.
The Kenevo SL Expert was launched in 2021 at the exorbitant price of €9,000, after a few months spent in the Covid era at €12,000, only to rise to €7,000...
