Hmmm... these add about 5mm each side to the Q Factor. I didn't really want to go wider. I dont know which QF they sent me, but I think I'm gonna change them for a narrower QF.

Will it be that noticeable of flats? Your never putting your feet in the same place on flats, unlike Clips

Not sure - I'm going to see which ones they've sent and if its the closest then I'll just keep them and see how I get on.
That seems to be the norm difference in Q factor from posts I've read. Be good to hear if they say have different option though.
Still awaiting review before ordering ?

On separate note, if these are essentially the (now sold out ) ones offered by Merlin, then the Merlin price was a cracker @ £34.99 for a pair inc. bolts.
What have you done for bolts btw Rob?

Dillglove just confirmed that these are the Q16 crank arms, so 16mm measurement from outside the crank bolt to the arm.

That means that it I reduced down to the Q8 arms I'd reduce the QF by 8mm on each side, resulting in a reduced QF over stock (I'd be 3mm shorter).

Splitting hairs? Probably, I'll just stick with the Q16's, go for a burn and see what they feel like. I'll probably not even notice.

So you could have gone with the 8mm versions.... Apologies Rob, I thought the 16mm measurement was the inside measurement and not the outside measurement ?

No probs, what do you think about my QF? reckon I should return them for the QF8? Do you notice much difference in your experience with different QF?

Very valid point Dave. This is where things can get very confusing.....so many different standards and sizes.

It will definitely be a 15mm thread that connects to the motor. Looking at Robs posted photos of the Miranda cranks above it looks like a 22mm upper thread. The Praxis upper thread is 26mm.

The current 137s I have on are wider than yours 22mm left side and 26mm right side and I did not notice any diffence but then that is purely my opinion. Put it this way, it did not affect my riding or slow me down the other day and I achieved a number of personal bests on Strava ?

Ok but you only need the upper thread for self exctracting so if you dont use self exctracting bolts does that mean you need exctractor tools of different sizes i thought both inner and outer thread were standard
What have i missed?

Correct, you need the upper thread measurement if you are using self extracting bolts.

However, you also need the upper thread measurement to make sure you have the correct size extractor tool if you are using non self extracting bolts. Unfortunately the upper thread is not Standard ?.

The cranks I have been using lately are all 22mm upper. So a 22mm extracting tool is required to remove the cranks if I use non self extracting bolts
The Praxis cranks have a 26mm upper so if you used non self extracting bolts on the Praxis cranks you would need a 26mm extracting tool to remove the cranks.

The Mirandas i got for my Shimano equipped bike, which came from Dillgrove, had all the bolts/necassary hardware with them, which had not expected as Bryan from dill grove had said he didn't think they came with any.

I called Miranda and they said that the 152 wouldn’t fit my levo. What am I missing here? Did you need to make any modifications?
Thanks
