I got a WTB volt and its been good even after a 3+ hr ride. I've used WTB saddles before and liked them as well except for this one that had a seam on it that was annoying to feel after a while in the saddle.

Have a SQlab Ergowave 60X saddle which is very comfortable to start with but becomes painful after an hour.

Read here about WTB Koda so thought I'd try one. Certainly not as comfortable to start with as the SQlab but after 2 hours no sore bum so pleased of course.

Adjusted the position of the saddle during a couple of rides but found i do have to keep moving around on it a bit even when not off-road. For me static position is a pain in the bum.

My new bike came with a Fabric Scoop Shallow Sport, and I’m not a fan. It really hurts my sit bones. I went in our only LBS where they had just a few saddles, and the guy sold me this one (Bontrager Commuter Fluid) knowing I was shopping for an eMTB. Now reading this thread I think I should return it, which means I need to order something else and wait a week or so for it. I hoped to replace the stock saddle right away because it hurts. :-(

I've ordered a WTB Volt since it seems to popular, and am returning this one.

Selle Italia FLX is a very comfortable touring saddle. If still available. Edit I looked but they have changed the style my one was on a Dawes tourer. 2011 so good I bought another a year later and its still in wrapping. Cycled 70 miles a day on road for 3 days with no pain and I had forgotten my padded shorts so got another. Swore by WTB for years. Most saddles ok for a few hours but 5 or 6 hours I prefer a softer one.

I’m being told that the WTB Silverado saddle is the one to go for. Tried several saddles and yet to find 1 I gel with.
Looking for anyone’s opinions on this saddle.
I went with a Ergon and am very impressed with how comfortable it's been straight out the box .
The sizing is a little confusing but worked it out .

How does it compare to the Ergon SM ? have you tried both in sub zero temps?
I’ve never noticed an odd shape or feel during cold weather rides. The fit is probably good. If a block of ice had the same shape as my Ergo seat …I might notice?

Kinda gives me an idea for a heated seat …I have a 625w battery after all. 🤔

Be more likely to get frozen gears ,freehub . My fingers and feet get cold long before my posterier.

Hopefully that never becomes a thing ..can you imagine a group ride on a wet day in Autumn ( that's "Fall" to you blokes across the pond who haven't fully got to grips with the English language 😉) ..the poor tail end Charlie won't be able to see a thing for the steam rising from the wet arsed attire of the riders in front of him ..

Here is my experience riding in -10C, I live in Norway so don't have a choice:
Gears won't freeze if lubed, using appropriate lube on the chain, some wax based lubes might make the chain stiff, Smoove does in -7C.
I use Sram Butter on the shifting wires so they won't freeze, the Rd is lubed a spray. if there's grease, water ingress won't be an issue, but don't use chain lube, as it will make a mess. use shifting specific grease or suspension grease, as it's super slippery but stays in place.

Suspension gets harsh, But the EXT ERA(ebike approved) fork and Storia V3 shock perform better than some others, doesn't take as low temp to make it feel super harsh. But it uses great lube. It stays quite soft in -1c, where as 2014 Fox 32 would get super harsh. So if it was even on the plus side it would get harsh, until I did a few drops and rode down some stairs to warm it up, which was a good idea, to know how the fork performs, not it suddenly become soft. But with EXT I didn't have to, norr with the Rock Shox. But I see they changed which lower leg lube they use the recent years. so maybe that helps. It was a fox 32 was rebuilt with Grip damper eventually. But still will be a bit harsher. but in -10C it's super harsh. But I've not tried winter specific damper fluid or suspension lube.
Metallic/sintered pads don't want to bed in in sub zero temps. But still works well when already bedded in.
I see some Rockshox forks do well too in -1C. At least the old hardtail I have with a 2015 Recon Gold does quite well.

We don't get the minus 10c for long in my neck of woods maybe a few days. I usually find things half frozen if bike has been washed and put in unheated shed next morning it may be frozen. Yes I spent many a long cold night working on deck of boats in Norway 🥶 lovely country though.

badly sealed or unsealed hubs might freeze, like Shimano fh-M475. Bu no issues with Hopetech Pro 4, DT Swiss 350. some tiny water ingress sometimes, but it never freezes the hub. I tend to put extra grease aroudn the seal which helps to reduce it.

Never experienced frozen components. Hands, feet, body are fine (I could probably wear shorts year-round) but my nose and chin take a beating in cold weather.

I suffer a constant nasal drip …but I use the Hockey-Nose-Clearing technique …as long as no one is nearby. Anything above 0 degrees C can be T-Shirt weather.

Hockey nose ok with my left nostril but right could land anywhere.
