900The 500 or the 900 ?
Almost the same here.900
It was pandemic time when I purchased it
They only had 500 in stock at the time in the UK so I purchased one, I kept looking on the Web site once I had the bike and would you believe it the 900 come in stock two weeks further on so I got in touch with Decathlon and said I really wanted the 900 they said no problem
Ordered the 900 in the shop and they took the 500 back
Nice one
Your not alone I'm only a year behind youAlmost the same here.
The 900 felt a little outwith my price range, but owing to the 2 months no quibble return policy of Decathalon Spain, I reckoned to start with the 500.
Do not get me wrong, the 500 is an OK bike, I was starting to love it.
Prob is I am 72 and although the 500 just about works for me now, how is it going to be in a couple of years ??
I returned it in favour of the 70Nm Brose T hoping that might help my riding longevity
Wish me luck

I'm in between bike sizes, and my bike is a L, with a 80mm stem.

Only planned changes are one of those Suntour ncx or whatever suspension posts with a more comfortable saddle and a 38t chainring.I hear from most other owners that the e-st900 is really good.
It doesn't have fancy features like remote 12 speed, 4-pot brakes etcetera, but a very decent basic bike.
When trying to shave off some hundreds of euros, you end up with the "Ok-ish" 520 and 500, or with the e-st100 which is a complete disaster.
Do you plan to do some changes? Dropper post, tyres, riser steering bar, gears ?
Hi,This is a picture of the bike with rain fenders installed.
I had to drill a 5mm hole in the front fork, then tapped M6 in it.
In the back there was the possibility to mount the fender support directly.
This is the reference to the fenders. the normal size.
SKS Beavertail Front & Rear Mudguard Set
Technical Information: Application: MTB, All-road, Road Compatibility: 26" and 28" wheels Features: All-round plug-in bike protector innovative design optimum splash protection also suitable for suspension forks robust steel brackets for safe and ewww.bike-components.de
They are narrower than the 27.5-2.8 tires, but as these tires are "bombed", the fenders keep away 90% of the rain.
It was the only model that was:
-quick click remove
-budget
-good close following of the tire
-not too much destroying the looks, no side supports etc.

Looks interesting, thank you!
Still Ok, still as new.Hi,
how did the fenders last over time? I am thinking of buying this model as well but I'm not sure if I will be able to fix the fender for the front wheel in order to keep it steady. Could you post a picture of the setup detail please? Thank you!
Been a good addition in fairness, as the regular trail I ride has a good few tree roots breaking through the asphalt.
Still Ok, still as new.
The mounting is a metal bracket with one bolt.
At the back there is already a hole, in the front you will have to drill/tap a hole
If it's a serious motor problem, then These guys are the Brose experts.Since a few weeks, the motor assembly started making a bit more noise.
When manually turning the pedals, I can feel it's not as smooth as used to be.
I guess there are belt/bearing problems.
Is this something I can fix myself?
How is Decthlon service and Price?
Are there shops specialized in this?
