Hi Guys,
Was keen getting a Fuel EXe 9.5 but cancelled the idea as I like the idea of a seamless motor , for most rides 360 would do the cut , but for some longer rides would be just to small. Planning to do some rides with full fats as well so the idea of 540wh and with an extender if it's the case seems the go to bike for me. Just lifter a new WILD alloy today and even with the 630wh battery is was just to heavy.
So getting back to things, I've eyed out these two as they seem to fit the bill for me in most parts but :
- on the H, I would need to swap (at least the damper in the fork) if not the whole . My bad, but I've been spoiled by good damping forks ( my current bike has a FOX36 GRIP2 .
- on the carbon, new fork for sure, new shock (had a DPS on another bike and just hated it) , swap my wheels from my analog bike (EX511 on 350 hubs) new brakes as well.
The carbon route is definetly more expensive, but from what I've read 1.5 kg is really NOTICEABLE and while I'm not a weight weenie ( my trail bike is 15.5 kg with coil and stuff) , I try to keep it under 20 kg with inserts (tannus would do it) , EXO+ tyres and a fox 36 / Lyrik + a piggy back shock. Carbon bars/cranks are not my thing as well. Still, really hate the internal headset thing but let's hope it won't kill me on the long run.
One small thing is that I also like the small key thing inside the rocker arm.
So, what you guys think as with current sales they are mostly the same price ?
By the way, do both have the same EP801 - RS motor ? Found mixed info around , even on Orbea website.
