Paint job is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

How's the bike?

It's going to be my 4th season on a Reign E+ so I'm very familiar with the way it's riding.

I would say the Reign E+ is composed, plush and the geo is still amongst the best. Going fast on proper enduro trails is very fun, but you do need to maintain a certain amount of speed to make the weight dissapear. The manoeuvrability of the Reign E+ at speed is quite surprising.

The Yamaha motor is not best is class, but still packs some kind of punch. It's important to note that the motor is about to be outdated by a pretty large margin with all these newer units coming out, I wouldn't buy a Reign E+ today unless it's discounted 20-30%+.

Here's a recent take on the bike for those interested :

A lot of that probably applies to the Kenevo I just bought at 5k reduced from £6.5

I agree, all of the current gen +-85nm bikes are about to tank in value with all these manufacturers about to launch a new generation of bikes and motor at the same time.

The hit on resale is going to be pretty hard if you didn't buy a discounted bike in the first place.

Build is complete for summer 2025, very happy with the bike. Giant is on to some crazy colors lately and this Dragonfly is no exception, color shift is insane.

Modifications / Add ons :
  • Fox Transfer Factory 210mm dropper
  • Shimano RT-MT905 203mm rotors
  • Shimano LG700 LinkGlide cassette
  • We Are One Composites Convert MX wheelset on i9 Hydra hubs

  • Ergon SM E-Mountain saddle
  • Deity Knuckleduster grips
  • Deity Supervilain pedals

Looks sick, i think a stem upgrade is sorely needed though.

Anyone any tips how to get motor back in , I sent it off too perf line bearings and it's had 3 new bearings fitted now can get front bolts in but wires are in way for other bolts no matter how I try to arrange them

I removed mine half way after accidentally pulling dropper post outer past seat tube junction. Was not easy. Just gotta squish wire in / around motor as best you can. I know there are some wires at the front that sit above / in front of motor that can cause fitting issues. Work gently and im sure youll get it

I enjoy Brian's take on bike reviews. Was stoked he was so stoked on his Reign, but i think his hard charging style suits this bike. It is an Enduro bike, not a trail bike like say a Levo so needs to be ridden with purpose.

Riding an E+1 since January 2022, the bike is definitely a pure enduro, it needs speed to stay playful, doesn't like slow sections. Once at speed it's insane how maneuverable and forgiving the bike is, my first thoughts when I bought it were It's like riding on a tank with the plushest suspension ever.
