My chainring is touching chainstay. I don't know in what circunstances. The chainring is perfect. Can be a warranty case? Is too close that i think is causing on torcion, like berms, jumps... I need help. What i have to do?

What size frame? Is that the standard 34T chainring? Mine is very close to the chainstay also but that is ridiculous...?

o deslocamento é 0 and never was removed.

is the stock e13 the aluminum or steel version?

I tried fitting a 36t Aluminum e13 ring to my 9.7 XL, but it was way to close for comfort, see pic below. I could pretty much push the ring into the stay.

The trek website says the 9.7 comes with a sram 36T, but it is in fact 34T.

I don't know how and when this happened. When you are pedaling, the chainring has more space.

Don't know the frame - possible I guess. I've had a few frames where the rear tyre would buzz the seatstay when it flexed. Can you flex the rear triangle and recreate the issue?

I was thinking about torcion of aluminum frame. I am a heavy guy. 94kg.
I wouldn't say 94kg is heavy. I'm a similar weight. I think the frame of the Rail is pretty strong, but have you been hitting huge jumps? Is it possible you've bent the chain stays slightly?

Eu não diria que 94kg é pesado. Tenho um peso semelhante. Acho que a estrutura do Rail é bem forte, mas você tem feito grandes saltos? É possível que você dobrou ligeiramente a corrente?

Yes, i like to jump, but not so big. 2 meters high. I paited the place with nail paint. Lets see if happen again.

Não sei o quadro - possível, eu acho. Tive alguns quadros em que o pneu traseiro zumbia no suporte do assento quando flexionava. Você pode flexionar o triângulo traseiro e recriar o problema?
[/CITAR]
I make this, but i cant recriate the torcion of berm or jumps.

Hi everyone, I also had this problem on a trek rail 7 (size m) and Trek replaced my swingarm under warranty. Now the clearance has increased considerably, but at LBS they just swapped the swingarm, without giving any explanation as to the reasons for the rubbing. Even Trek did not give any explanation... How did it go to you?

Hi all, I have the same issue. I believe that some of the marks were caused by muck and smutter on the chainring from wet and sticky rides, but I also had a few instances of chain suck... very early (maybe 100 miles) into ownership so I don't think wear was an issue.

Anyway, I called Trek (primarily cos' my battery fell out!) and mentioned this issue. They're replacing the rear swinging arm (and fixing the battery) under warranty in a couple of weeks time.

I have been a little disappointed with the robustness of the Rail, but have been equally pleased with the robustness of Trek's warranty.
